This study systematically compares the degradation efficiency of CIP in a H2O2‐alone system and a novel Bi12FeO20‐H2O2 photo‐Fenton system. It reveals for the first time the presence of a quinone‐imine intermediate in the H2O2‐alone system, which exhibits toxicity comparable to CIP.

Dipole moment studies of some derivatives of 4-pyridone

Ester-Amide Exchange Reactions Using 2-Pyridone derivatives as Tautomeric Catalysts
The application of 2-pyridone as a tautomeric catalyst for ester-amide exchange reactions was investigated. This compound was found to be most effective at accelerating these reactions when 4-nitrophenyl acetate was used as an acylating agent in toluene.
