Catalytic 1,2‐Migratory Insertion in a Bismuth Redox Platform: Reductive Arylation of Aldehydes
We report a multicomponent reaction involving an aryl halide, an aldehyde, and a silane derivative, facilitated by low‐valent bismuth redox catalysis under mild conditions. The protocol represents an unprecedented example of four elementary organometallic steps at a Bi center within the catalytic cycle.

Diversion of aspartate in ASS1-deficient tumors fosters de novo pyrimidine synthesis
Cancer cells hijack and remodel existing metabolic pathways for their benefit. Argininosuccinate synthase (ASS1) is a urea cycle enzyme that is essential in the conversion of nitrogen from ammonia and aspartate to urea.

Repositioning Antimicrobial Peptides Against WHO‐Priority Fungi
The growing burden of drug‐resistant fungal infections, driven by pathogens such as Candida auris, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus fumigatus, underscores the urgent need for novel antifungal therapies. This review explores antimicrobial peptides as promising agents with membrane‐disruptive activity, immunomodulatory properties, and delivery ...

Modulation of Aging Diseases via RAGE Targets: A Dietary Intervention Review
This paper analyzes RAGE ligand‐binding mechanisms and signaling, proposing intervention strategies targeting these interactions. It emphasizes dietary polyphenols, polysaccharides, and terpenoids delivered via functional foods for anti‐aging. These compounds offer long‐term, safe intervention through dietary supplementation, providing dual nutritional

Disruption of nucleotide biosynthesis reprograms mitochondrial metabolism to inhibit adipogenesis
A key organismal response to overnutrition involves the development of new adipocytes through the process of adipogenesis. Preadipocytes sense changes in the systemic nutrient status and metabolites can directly modulate adipogenesis.

Abiotic synthesis of purine and pyrimidine ribonucleosides in aqueous microdroplets
Significance Discovery of an improved prebiotic method for the synthesis of ribonucleosides provides support to theories that posit a central role for RNA in the origin of life. It has been assumed that ribonucleosides arose through an abiotic process in

Smiles‐Truce Cascades Enable Heteroaryl Cyclopropane and Sultine Synthesis
A triple C─C cascade approach to the synthesis of heteroaryl cyclopropanes is described. The reaction is metal‐free, uses simple starting materials, and presents a new retrosynthetic approach for heteroaryl cyclopropane synthesis. A change of substituent creates a new route to sultines, under‐explored motifs in medicinal chemistry. Abstract We describe

Synthesis of Pyrimidine Fused Quinolines by Ligand-Free Copper-Catalyzed Domino Reactions.
Herein, we report two novel methods for the synthesis of pyrimidine fused quinolines using a one-pot C-C and C-N bond forming strategy from the reaction of 6-aminouracils with 2-bromobenzaldehydes or 2-bromobenzyl bromide derivatives in the presence of ...

ABSTRACT KDM1A‐related neurodevelopmental disorder (CPRF, OMIM #616728) is characterized by cleft palate, global developmental delay, and distinct facial gestalt, but phenotypic knowledge of this ultra‐rare autosomal dominant disorder is limited. Here, we report on a 13‐year‐old boy with a novel heterozygous, likely pathogenic germline missense variant
