Ultra‐low LOD H2O2 Sensor Based on Synergistic Nernst Potential Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Due to the synergistic effect of ENernst,H2O2${E}_{\mathrm{Nernst},\ {\mathrm{H}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{2}}$ and ENernst,H+${E}_{\mathrm{Nernst},\ {\mathrm{H}}^{+}}$, the proposed sensors in this study can achieve ultralow H2O2 detection limit as low as 1.8 × 10−12 M based on the stacked PEDOT: BTB/PEDOT: PSS semiconducting layer.

Dynamic Cycling of Ultrathin Li Metal Anode via Electrode–Electrolyte Interphase Comprising Lithiophilic Ag and Abundant LiF under Carbonate‐Based Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The silver trifluoromethanesulfonate (AgTFMS) simultaneously forms metallic Ag and abundant LiF on the Li metal surface after dissolution in carbonate‐based electrolyte, whereas lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate (LiTFMS) only generates LiF‐rich solid‐electrolyte interphase (SEI).

Palladium-Catalyzed Construction of Quaternary Stereocenters by Enantioselective Arylation of γ-Lactams with Aryl Chlorides and Bromides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Herein, we report the first Pd‐catalyzed enantioselective arylation of α‐substituted γ‐lactams. Two sets of conditions were developed for this transformation, allowing for the use of either aryl chlorides or bromides as electrophiles.

Thermally Cured Sulfonated para‐PBI as Ion Solvating Membrane for Use in Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The cMS‐PBI membrane is designed to be free of the known breaking points which limit the lifetime of membranes in alkaline electrolysis systems. As supported by high conductivity and 6 months ex situ stability test, the cMS‐PBI ion solvating membrane can substitute anion exchange membranes and thus can reduce the cost of green hydrogen by increasing ...

Pramanicin analog induces apoptosis in human colon cancer cells: critical roles for Bcl-2, Bim, and p38 MAPK signaling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Pramanicin (PMC) is an antifungal agent that was previously demonstrated to exhibit antiangiogenic and anticancer properties in a few in vitro studies. We initially screened a number of PMC analogs for their cytotoxic effects on HCT116 human colon cancer

Non-noble metal-catalysed carbonylative transformations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The dissertation is mainly concerned with non-noble metal-catalyzed carbonylative reactions. More specifically, copper, iron and manganese catalysed carbonylation reactions are presented. In all the above mentioned areas systematic catalyst optimization

Photocatalytic Generation of a Ground‐State Electron Donor Through Water Activation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
This study presents catalytically generated phosphine oxide radical anions, derived from commercial phosphines and water as potent single‐electron reductants capable of reducing electron‐rich aryl chlorides at potentials as low as −3.3 V (vs. SCE). Cyclic voltammetry studies and DFT calculations offer insights into these P‐based ground‐state electron ...
