Vegetable Tannins as Chrome‐Free Leather Tanning
The purpose of this study is to replace chrome tannins with ecofriendly vegetable tannins as an alternative solution to prevent the public health and the environmental pollution. Vegetable tannin was extracted from Cassia singueana bark using an aqueous extraction method and applied on sheep pickle pelt.

Comparing carriers as a support media of white-rot fungi in natural tannins removal
In the last decades, White-rot Fungi bioremediation potential has been widely investigated, providing remarkable results toward several recalcitrant molecules. However, full-scale applications based on fungi are not employed yet and little is known about

Changes in mouse whole saliva soluble proteome induced by tannin-enriched diet [PDF]
Background Previous studies suggested that dietary tannin ingestion may induce changes in mouse salivary proteins in addition to the primarily studied proline-rich proteins (PRPs).

Effect of dietary quebracho tannin extract on milk fatty acid composition in cows [PDF]
The aim of this study was to examine the capacity of quebracho tannin extract (QTE) to modulate the fatty acid (FA) profile in the milk fat of cows. Fifty Holstein cows yielding 33.2 ± 8.2 kg/d of milk were divided into 2 groups. The cows were fed a basal diet with a forage-concentrate ratio of 66:34 on a dry matter (DM) basis.

First Tools for Tannin-Furanic Foams Design
Formaldehyde-free quebracho tannin foams were prepared for the first time. Several simple formulations have been presented in order to study the capital influence of each component on foaming and therefore on the characteristics of the obtained foams ...
