Transitioning Formamide Solvothermal Syntheses of MOFs to Less Toxic Solvents

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic Frameworks (MOFs) are commonly synthesized in toxic formamide solvents. This study investigates the synthetic factors required for effective removal of formamides across various classes of MOFs, providing a foundation for designing new sustainable MOF syntheses.

Regio‐ and Diastereoselective C–C Silylation of Cyclopropyl Acetates Harnessing Fluorinated Poly(pyridyl)Borate Rhodium Catalysts

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Fluorinated poly(pyridyl)borates have been utilized to stabilize rhodium‐diene complexes and as supporting ligands in rhodium‐catalyzed redox‐neutral C–C silylation of cyclopropyl acetates, producing silicon‐containing heterocyclic products, dioxasilolanes.

Hyperbranched Molecular Brush Membrane for Efficient and Antifouling Oil‐Water Emulsion Separation

open access: yesCleanMat, EarlyView.
This work develops a carboxyl‐terminated hyperbranched molecular brush‐modified membrane that exhibits superhydrophilicity, underwater superoleophobicity, and a strong negative charge. The membrane achieves high efficiency, superior antifouling performance, and stable separation of oil‐in‐water emulsions across a wide pH range.
