Stable neuronal representations underlie cognitive resilience to Alzheimer's disease pathology

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION While Alzheimer's disease (AD) typically elicits progressive cognitive decline, some individuals with significant AD pathology maintain cognition. Understanding the neuronal underpinnings of such cognitive resilience would propel the development of interventions for delaying dementia.

Elucidating Immune Cell Mediated Causal Pathways Linking Blood Metabolites to Major Depressive Disorder: A Mediation Mendelian Randomization Analysis

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Our integrative Mendelian randomization framework revealed that specific circulating metabolites exert causal effects on major depressive disorder, partly through immune‐cell–mediated pathways. These findings highlight metabolite–immune interactions as potential mechanistic targets for MDD prevention and therapy.

The Steroidal Profile Modulates Adaptive Immune Response and Prognosis in Adrenocortical Carcinoma: Analysis of TCR and BCR Repertoires

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare and aggressive malignant neoplasm with limited therapeutic options and an often poor prognosis. A deeper understanding of its interaction with the immune system is essential for the advancement of personalized treatment strategies, particularly in light of the tumor heterogeneity of hormone production ...

Identification of Novel Small‐Molecule Inhibitors Targeting KDM5B and Evaluation of Their Antitumour Effects

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT KDM5B, a member of the KDM5 family of histone demethylases, plays a critical role in transcriptional repression by demethylating H3K4me2/3. It regulates key biological processes such as development, stem cell maintenance, and oncogenesis, and its aberrant expression is implicated in various cancers. Accordingly, KDM5B is considered a promising

Multi‐omics analysis identifies a major histocompatibility complex class II‐associated antigen‐presenting cancer‐associated fibroblast‐like state linked to the nuclear factor erythroid 2‐related factor 2‐karyopherin subunit beta 1 axis in nonsmall cell lung cancer

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 2, June 2026.
NSCLC contains an MHC‐II‐associated antigen‐presenting CAF‐like (apCAF‐like) state regulated by the NRF2‐KPNB1 axis. NRF2/KPNB1 signaling suppresses CIITA‐dependent antigen presentation and T‐cell activation, whereas inhibition of this pathway enhances antitumor immunity and improves responsiveness to anti‐PD‐1 therapy.
