IL‐2‐Dependent Murine T‐Cell Lines and Clones Expressing Gamma/Delta T‐Cell Antigen Receptors. I, Functional and Biochemical Characterization

Scandinavian Journal of Immunology, 1991
We have developed two stable IL‐2‐dependenl T‐cell lines designated AKV‐I and AKV‐N from the enlarged spleens, respectively, of an AKV l and an NFS mouse, Immunofluorescence staining with the appropriate monoclonal antibodies revealed that cells of the AKV‐I cell line were αβJTCR‐CD3+CD4‐ CD5‐ CD8+CD25+. Where as cells of the AKV‐N cell line were αβTCR‐

Murine T cells with invariant gamma delta antigen receptors: origin, repertoire, and specificity.

Seminars in immunology, 1991
T cells bearing invariant gamma delta T cell antigen receptors localize to distinct epithelial sites in the adult mouse. These gamma delta T cells differ from the lymphoid alpha beta and gamma delta T cells in several ways. The epithelial gamma delta T cells appear to be the product of the earliest waves of TCR expressing cells in the fetal thymus ...

Functional expression of CD28 on T cell antigen receptor γ/δ‐bearing T lymphocytes

European Journal of Immunology, 1989
AbstractT lymphocytes express a T cell antigen receptor (TcR) complex composed of either an TcR α/β or TcR γ/δ heterodimer in noncovalent association with the CD3 glycoproteins. CD28, a 44‐kDa disulfide‐linked homodimer, is present on the surface of the majority of TcR α/β‐bearing T lymphocytes.

T cell receptor gamma delta repertoire is skewed in cerebrospinal fluid of multiple sclerosis patients: molecular and functional analyses of antigen-reactive gamma delta clones.

European journal of immunology, 1995
To study the relevance of gamma delta T cells in multiple sclerosis (MS) we analyzed the T cell receptor (TCR) gamma delta repertoire and the antigen reactivity of gamma delta clones isolated from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). In T cell cultures derived from CSF we found an increased percentage of V delta 1+ cells as compared to peripheral blood of the ...

Activation of Phenotypically Heterogeneous Murine T Cell Receptor γδ+ Dendritic Epidermal T Cells by Self-Antigen(s)

International Archives of Allergy and Immunology, 2009
Adult murine epidermis contains a population of Thy-1+ CD45+, CD3+, CD4–– and CD8–– in situ primarily T cell receptor (TCR) Vγ3+/Vδ1+ dendritic epidermal T cells (DETC). In the present study, cell surface phenotypes as well as functional properties of DETC were characterized by using in vitro mitogen-stimulated short-term- (10 days) and cloned long ...

Preferential tissue localization of bovine γδ T cell subsets defined by anti-T cell receptor for antigen antibodies

Immunology Letters, 1998
Clonal and oligoclonal populations of gammadelta T cells, with respect to the expression of T cell receptors for antigen (Tcr), have been shown to localize in normal and inflamed tissues. The mechanisms responsible for the tissue-selective accumulation of these subsets are still not known. gammadelta T cells are the predominant T cell subset in newborn

Recognition of the Qa-2k tumor antigen by T cell receptor γ/δ of an immunopotentiator-induced tumoricidal T cell of mice

Cancer Immunology Immunotherapy, 1993
Tumor-specific expression of Qa-2k antigen coded by the Q5k gene on various mouse tumor cells and immunological response of the host mice to the antigen have been demonstrated [Seo et al. (1992) J Exp Med 175: 547; Tanino et al. (1992) Cancer Immunol Immunother 35: 230].

Structural and serological heterogeneity of γ/δ T cell antigen receptor expression in thymus and peripherar blood

European Journal of Immunology, 1988
AbstractMonoclonal antibodies (mAb) reactive against the γ/δ T cell antigen receptor (TcR) have been used to characterize the distribution and structural properties of γ/δ TcR‐bearing lymphocytes in blood and thymus. Consistent with prior reports the TcR γ/δ‐1 and δ‐1 mAb react with all γ/δ TcR+ T lymphocytes in blood and thymus.

Transcriptional regulation of gamma/delta T cell antigen receptor.

A class of gamma delta T cell receptors recognize the underside of the antigen-presenting molecule MR1

2019
T cell receptors (TCRs) recognize antigens presented by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) and MHC class I-like molecules. We describe a diverse population of human gamma delta T cells isolated from peripheral blood and tissues that exhibit autoreactivity to the monomorphic MHC-related protein 1 (MR1). The crystal structure of a gamma delta TCR-MR1-
