Abstract An 8‐year‐old, male, entire Cocker Spaniel presented to the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals for treatment of an iatrogenic septic uroabdomen secondary to traumatic urinary catheterisation. After initial stabilisation, it underwent diagnostic imaging and definitive surgical correction comprising a cystotomy and bladder reconstruction.

Management of suspected opioid‐induced hyperalgesia in a dog
Abstract Opioid‐induced hyperalgesia is a recognised phenomenon in people, but few cases are described in veterinary patients. This case reports a dog with suspected opioid‐induced hyperalgesia after a stick injury to the mouth and neck, and subsequent surgical exploration of the ventral neck and abscess debridement.
