Development of a recombinase-aided amplification assay for detection of orf virus
Journal of Virological Methods, 2020Orf, caused by orf virus (ORFV), is an important zoonotic disease that infects goat and sheep, leading to huge economic losses. ORFV can also cause cutaneous lesions in people who come in close contact with the diseased animals. Although accurate diagnostic methods for ORFV infection exist, there is a need for a rapid, specific, and sensitive method ...

Reverse transcription recombinase-aided amplification assay for avian influenza virus
Virus Genes, 2023Avian influenza virus (AIV) infection can lead to severe economic losses in the poultry industry and causes a serious risk for humans. A rapid and simple test for suspected viral infection cases is crucial. In this study, a reverse transcription recombinase-aided amplification assay (RT-RAA) for the rapid detection of all AIV subtypes was developed ...

Detection of pseudorabies virus with a real‐time recombinase‐aided amplification assay
Transboundary and Emerging Diseases, 2021AbstractPseudorabies (PR) is an acute infectious disease of pigs caused by pseudorabies virus (PRV), which has caused great economic losses to the pig industry worldwide. Reliable and timely diagnose is crucial for the surveillance, control and eradication of PR.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB), the etiological agent of tuberculosis (TB), is the leading cause of death due to a single infectious agent worldwide. Rapid and accurate diagnosis of MTB is critical for controlling TB especially in resource-limited countries, since any diagnosis delay increases the chances of transmission.

Rapid detection of Salmonella with Recombinase Aided Amplification
Journal of Microbiological Methods, 2017Rapid Salmonella detection using Recombinase Aided Amplification was established. The reaction completes in 20 min at 39°C and can be performed with a portable device. Once further improved, this method should be a great choice for monitoring contamination, such as foodborne Salmonella or for similar purposes.

Visual recombinase aided amplification technology for detecting feline coronavirus
The Veterinary JournalFeline Coronavirus (FCoV) is responsible for causing intestinal lesions and potentially fatal systemic infections in cats, with a worldwide prevalence. Currently, there is no effective vaccine available, making early diagnosis essential for treatment. Although RT-PCR detection is known for its high specificity and accuracy, the method involves complex ...

Recombinase-Aided Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification on Human Plasmodium knowlesi
The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and HygieneABSTRACT. Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a nucleic acid amplification technique that can amplify specific nucleic acids at a constant temperature (63–65°C) within a short period (<1 hour). In this study, we report the utilization of recombinase-aided LAMP to specifically amplify the 18S sRNA of Plasmodium knowlesi.
