Abstract In this paper, we present a reconfigurable robot platform based on OPEN-R, a standard for robot entertainment systems. Reconfigurability is attained by the use of the OPEN-R standard which enables a hot plug-in capability through a set of definitions for mechanical, electrical, and software interface protocols.
