Osteoimmunology: The Regulatory Roles of T Lymphocytes in Osteoporosis [PDF]
Immune imbalance caused bone loss. Osteoimmunology is emerging as a new interdisciplinary field to explore the shared molecules and interactions between the skeletal and immune systems.

Regulatory T‐lymphocytes mediate amyotrophic lateral sclerosis progression and survival
In amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) mice, regulatory T‐lymphocytes (Tregs) are neuroprotective, slowing disease progression. To address whether Tregs and FoxP3, a transcription factor required for Treg function, similarly influence progression rates ...

T regulatory lymphocytes in patients with endometriosis
The present study aimed to investigate the presence of T regulatory cells (Tregs) in the peripheral blood (PB) and peritoneal fluid (PF) in females with endometriosis. The present study included 42 patients who underwent laparoscopy between 2010 and 2011. Flow cytometry was used to determine the percentage of Tregs in the PF and PB of the patients.

Regulatory T lymphocytes in traumatic brain injury. [PDF]
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) presents a significant global health challenge with no effective therapies developed to date. Regulatory T lymphocytes (Tregs) have recently emerged as a potential therapy due to their critical roles in maintaining immune homeostasis, reducing inflammation, and promoting brain repair.

Regulatory T-lymphocytes in asthma [PDF]
T-helper cell type (Th)2 lymphocytes play an important role in the initiation, progression and persistence of allergic diseases, including asthma. However, little is known about immunoregulatory mechanisms that determine susceptibility to, severity of, or persistence of asthma.

IL-17-Producing Regulatory T lymphocytes – Suppressors or Effectors?
Regulatory T (Treg) lymphocytes are a T helper population that controls the intensity of the immune response and maintains immune tolerance by selectively suppressing the activity of effector T lymphocytes.

T regulatory cells (TREG)(TCD4+CD25+FOXP3+) distribution in the different clinical forms of leprosy and reactional states [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Leprosy is characterized histologically by a spectrum of different granulomatous skin lesions, reflecting patients' immune responses to Mycobacterium leprae.

Analysis of regulatory T lymphocytes in fungal infections
Morbidity and mortality rates in invasive mycoses determine the need to improve methods for their timely diagnosis by assessment the patients’ immune status.

Human regulatory T cells induce T-lymphocyte senescence [PDF]
Abstract Regulatory T (Treg) cells have broad suppressive activity on host immunity, but the fate and function of suppressed responder T cells remains largely unknown. In the present study, we report that human Treg cells can induce senescence in responder naive and effector T cells in vitro and in vivo.

Multiple subsets of regulatory T-cells
Regulatory T-lymphocytes play a central role in the immunological tolerance system. To date, existence of many different subpopulations of regulatory T-cells have been described.
