A Self‐Healing Permanent Magnet Putty for Soft Robot Skins With Force Sensing and Functional Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Permanent magnet putty (PMP) integrates high‐coercivity NdFeB particles with a dynamic polyborosiloxane–Ecoflex matrix, achieving rapid self‐healing (90% mechanical recovery in 10 s) and magnetic recovery within 20 min. With twice the sensitivity of commercial putties, PMP enables precise 5–30 N force detection and discrimination between pressing and ...

Return-to-Work Screening by Linear Discriminant Analysis of Heart Rate Variability Indices in Depressed Subjects

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Using a linear discriminant analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) indices, the present study sought to verify the usefulness of autonomic measurement in major depressive disorder (MDD) patients by assessing the feasibility of their return to work ...

Drug-Induced Plasticity Contributing to Heightened Relapse Susceptibility: Neurochemical Changes and Augmented Reinstatement in High-Intake Rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A key in understanding the neurobiology of addiction and developing effective pharmacotherapies is revealing drug-induced plasticity that results in heightened relapse susceptibility.

Neuid: A Novel Neuron‐Enriched LncRNA that Connects Epigenetic Gene Silencing to Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The increasing evidence that non‐coding RNAs can become deregulated during pathogenesis is dramatically expanding the space for drug discovery beyond the protein‐coding genome. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as key regulators of cellular function, yet most remain uncharacterized.

THE CIRCUMSTANCE THAT NEEDS TO BE CONSIDERED BY JUDGES OF INDUSTRIAL RELATION COURT IN DECIDING REINSTATE DECISION

open access: yesYustisia, 2018
The implementation of the Industrial Relations Court verdict in the case of termination disputes which order employers to reinstate workers faces obstacles occasionally. This is caused by the reluctance of employers to comply with the verdict.

Effect of cafeteria diet history on cue-, pellet-priming-, and stress-induced reinstatement of food seeking in female rats. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Relapse to unhealthy eating habits is a major problem in human dietary treatment. The individuals most commonly seeking dietary treatment are overweight or obese women, yet the commonly used rat reinstatement model to study relapse to palatable food ...

Partial extinction and reinstatement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Fear extinction is not permanent but more vulnerable than the original fear memory, as relapse phenomena have traditionally shown. Partial extinction has been proposed as a strategy that may serve to mitigate relapses. Partial extinction differs from the

Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

TP53 R249S mutation in hepatic organoids captures the predisposing cancer risk

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
The systematic approach in elucidating the gain‐of‐function (GOF) roles of TP53 mutations in early liver carcinogenesis. Unique downstream targets of TP53 L3 mutations were identified from chormatin immunoprecipitation sequencing in HCC cell lines, followed by a series of validation assays to substantiate the exclusive transcriptional regulations ...

Role of Orexin-1 Receptor Within the Ventral Tegmental Area in Mediating Stress- and Morphine Priming-induced Reinstatement of Conditioned Place Preference in Rats

open access: yesBasic and Clinical Neuroscience, 2019
Introduction: Orexin-containing neurons exist in the lateral hypothalamic region, sending their projections toward mesolimbic regions such as the Ventral Tegmental Area (VTA).
