Immunocompatible Elastomer With Enhanced Fibrous Capsule‐Resistance and Elasticity by Water‐Induced Surface Phase Reconfiguration.

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a strategy for engineering heterogeneous surface and bulk structures within a single material, termed phase‐separation and underwater reconfiguration‐enhanced (PURE) elastomers. These elastomers combine high bulk elasticity with enhanced immunocompatibility at the surface.

The Immune Microenvironment: New Therapeutic Implications in Organ Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent advances in understanding the immune microenvironment's role in fibrosis, focusing on phenotypic/functional alterations of immune cells and their dynamic interactions with other cellular constituents within tissues. The authors further explore therapeutic opportunities and challenges in targeting immune microenvironment ...

Implications of target signal choice in passive acoustic monitoring: an example of age‐ and sex‐dependent vocal repertoire use in African forest elephants (Loxodonta cyclotis)

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation
Passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) is an effective remote sensing approach for sampling acoustically active animal species and is particularly useful for elusive, visually cryptic species inhabiting remote or inaccessible habitats.

Phenylalanine‐Based DNA‐Encoded Chemical Libraries for the Discovery of Potent and Selective Small Organic Ligands Against Markers of Cancer and Immune Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FM‐DEL1 and FM‐DEL2 are constructed by installing one or two sets of building blocks on a phenylalanine central scaffold. FM‐DELs are screened against markers of prostate, and renal cell carcinoma, and against an immunological target expressed on the surface of natural killer cells.
