Morphological Changes in Direct Pathway Striatal Neurons in a Rat Model of Tardive Dyskinesia
Abstract Background Tardive dyskinesia (TD) and drug‐induced parkinsonism (DIP) arise from prolonged dopamine antagonist use. Although D2 receptor hypersensitivity in the indirect pathway is a proposed mechanism, the role of the direct pathway remains unclear.

Serological Evidence of Filovirus Infection in Nonhuman Primates in Zambia
Ebolaviruses and marburgviruses are filoviruses that are known to cause severe hemorrhagic fever in humans and nonhuman primates (NHPs). While some bat species are suspected to be natural reservoirs of these filoviruses, wild NHPs often act as ...

The only known filovirus, which presumably is not pathogenic for humans, is Ebola virus (EBOV) Reston. When EBOV Reston and the highly pathogenic EBOV Zaire were grown in cell culture, comparison of the replication kinetics showed a clear growth impairment of EBOV Reston, indicating that the replication cycle of EBOV Reston might be delayed.
