Co‐Culture Systems to Study Epithelial‐Immune Interactions During SARS‐CoV‐2 Infection
Abstract Robust inflammatory responses to viral infection are mediated by immune cell populations, including monocytes and dendritic cells. However, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) does not replicate efficiently in these cell types and instead preferentially infects epithelial cell subsets in the airway.

Immune cell changes in orthotopic xenograft and syngenic brain tumor preclinical models. Abstract Objectives Glioblastoma is characterised by poor survival with few treatment advances for over 20 years. Immunotherapies, which have transformed treatment of other cancers, have been difficult to apply to glioblastoma because of its highly immune ...

Retroviral Infections Affect Survival and Clutch Size of Female Wild Turkeys
We investigated the effects of two oncogenic retroviruses, lymphoproliferative disease virus (LPDV) and reticuloendotheliosis virus (REV), on survival and reproduction of wild turkeys in Maine. REV infection reduced female annual survival by nearly half, while LPDV‐infected hens laid fewer eggs, though other reproductive metrics were unaffected.

Constitutive interferon (IFN) production is regulated by microbiota and essential for optimal immune responses. Here, we demonstrate that expression of the glycoprotein of LCM virus upregulates constitutive IFN‐β levels and IFN‐stimulated genes (ISGs) in transgenic mice.

We previously showed that primary differentiation of naïve T cells is dependent on IRF4. Now we show that maintenance of already differentiated conventional and pathogenic Th17 cells is also dependent on IRF4.

Futures of Everyday Life: A Qualitative Content Analysis of Future Personas in Scenarios
ABSTRACT Scenario reports, holding a long‐standing tradition in foresight and futures studies, act as an essential document for organizations to prepare for possible, plausible, and alternative futures. Focusing on descriptions and representations of everyday life, we examined 29 future persona narratives from six publications—covering a wide field ...

HIV‐1 Non Group‐M Phenotypic Susceptibility to Ibalizumab
ABSTRACT The study assessed the phenotypic susceptibility of non group‐M human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV‐1/non‐M) clinical isolates to ibalizumab, the first‐in‐class long‐acting CD4‐directed post‐attachment inhibitor. Thirty isolates were tested: 1 HIV‐1/M (reference strain BRU.HXB2), 2 HIV‐1/N, 26 HIV‐1/O and 1 HIV‐1/P.
