Identification of the tRNAs which up‐regulate agrostin, barley RIP and PAP‐S, three ribosome‐inactivating proteins of plant origin [PDF]
Ribosome‐inactivating proteins (RIP) are RNA‐N‐glycosidases widely diffused in plants which depurinate ribosomal RNA at a specific universally conserved position, A4324 in rat ribosomes. A small group of RIPs (cofactor‐dependent RIPs) require ATP and tRNA to reach maximal activity on isolated ribosomes.

Programmable RNA N6,2´‐O‐Dimethyladenosine Editing
ABSTRACT N6,2’‐O‐dimethyladenosine (m6Am) is a prevalent RNA modification located at the first transcribed nucleotide adjacent to the 5′ cap of mRNAs, where it has been implicated in gene regulation. However, the lack of methods for precise, transcript‐specific manipulation of m6Am has limited its functional dissection.

Neutralization and binding activity of a human single-chain antibody to ricin toxin
Ricin toxin (RT), extracted from castor bean, is a type II ribosome-inactivating protein (RIP). As a biothreat agent, there is no effective antidote for RT to date, but recent advances in antibody research may have meet this need.

ABSTRACT Many bacterial taxa evolved facultative symbiotic associations with insects and spread through host populations by horizontal and maternal transmission. Co‐infection at the individual host level may facilitate or constrain the spread of facultative symbionts.

Designing a Humanized Immunotoxin Based on Gelonin Against HER2+ Breast Cancer: An In-Silico Study [PDF]
Recombinant immunotoxins (RITs) are considered tumor-specific therapeutics because their variable antibody fragment can specifically bind to target cells, and their engineered toxin fragment specifically kills cancerous cells upon internalization.

From Immunotoxins to Suicide Toxin Delivery Approaches: Is There a Clinical Opportunity?
Suicide gene therapy is a relatively novel form of cancer therapy in which a gene coding for enzymes or protein toxins is delivered through targeting systems such as vesicles, nanoparticles, peptide or lipidic co-adjuvants.

TaRIP2 Positively Regulates Wheat Pollen Wall Formation Through MYB80‐Controlled Lipid Metabolism
ABSTRACT Male‐sterile genes and mutants are critical for hybrid seed production in monocotyledonous crops. Lipids are essential structural components of male reproductive organs, such as the anther and pollen. Here, we show that the pollen‐preferential gene TaRIP2 is essential for wheat anther development and pollen formation. RT‐qPCR analysis revealed
