The graphical abstract highlights that ischemic stroke leads to increased METTL14 expression, which enhances Tp53inp2 mRNA stability through m6A modification. Elevated Tp53inp2 then promotes damaging mitophagy and ROS production by upregulating Ptgs2, ultimately impairing the neuronal differentiation of neural stem cells.
