Molecular Dynamics Simulations Reveal RNA's Instability and the Necessity of Synergistic Networks in Prebiotic Environments. A Molecular Dynamics Simulation to Refute the RNA World Hypothesis(Estimated Calculation Simulation)

open access: yes
The RNA World Hypothesis (RWH) posits that RNA alone was sufficient to initiate life, acting as both genetic material and catalyst. However, RNA’s chemical instability and limited catalytic efficiency challenge this view. The Matter World Hypothesis (MWH) proposes that life emerged from synergistic interactions among RNA, DNA, peptides, lipids, and ...

Engineered Microvascular Model of the Blood–Brain–Tumor Barrier Reveals Endothelial Remodeling in Diffuse Midline Glioma

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a patient‐derived, functional microfluidic model of the diffuse midline glioma (DMG) blood–brain–tumor barrier (BBTB) comprised of endothelial cells, astrocytes, pericytes, and tumor cells. The system forms perfusable microvasculature, reveals the BBTB retains vascular integrity, identifies DMG‐specific transcriptomic changes distinct from

Vascularization of Human iPSC‐Derived Kidney Organoids Using Perfusion Culture, Pre‐Vascularized Collagen Scaffolds, and Decellularized Extracellular Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An integrated perfusion‐based culture platform combining pre‐vascularized collagen scaffolds, stromal vascular fraction cells, and kidney decellularized extracellular matrix promotes vascularization of human iPSC‐derived kidney organoids. The platform provides evidence of interactions between vascular networks and glomerular‐like structures and enables

Computational Estimation of 1,000,000 Monte Carlo Runs with 100 Division Events for 50-Nucleotide RNA/DNA and Diverse Peptides in the Matter World Hypothesis

open access: yes
The Matter World Hypothesis (MWH) proposes that life emerged through synergistic interactions among RNA, DNA, peptides, lipids, and minerals (RDPLE⁺) in prebiotic environments (hydrothermal vents, ice veins, wet-dry cycles). Previous simulations (150,000 Monte Carlo steps) demonstrated protocell viability but were limited in evolutionary scope.

Molecular Dynamics Simulations with Multiple ROS Types and Photochemical Effects Refute RNA World Hypothesis, Supporting Synergistic Matter World Model(Estimated Calculation Simulation)

open access: yes
The RNA World Hypothesis (RWH) posits that RNA alone initiated life, serving as both genetic material and catalyst. However, RNA’s susceptibility to reactive oxygen species (ROS) and photochemical damage challenges its viability. The Matter World Hypothesis (MWH) proposes that life emerged from synergistic interactions among RNA, DNA, peptides, lipids,

Spatially Controlled Embedded Bioprinting of Prevascularized Spheroids‐Containing Biopatch Enables Functional Skin Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A spatially controlled embedded bioprinting strategy enables precise engineering of prevascularized multicellular spheroids within skin‐derived dECM bioinks. Optimized spheroid size, composition, and spacing promote vascular maturation, paracrine signaling, and tissue integration, resulting in enhanced angiogenesis, blood perfusion, and functional skin

Lignin Mimicking Protein Methylation Augments the Efficacy of FOLFOX Chemotherapy by Anchoring Thymidylate Synthase

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Lignin‐mimicking protein methylation can enhance the efficacy and mitigate the toxicity of the classic FOLFOX chemotherapy regimen. ABSTRACT FOLFOX has served as the standard chemotherapy regimen for advanced stages, specifically in the treatment of pancreatic, colorectal, and bladder cancers.

Ionizable Lipid‐Dependent Optimization of Steroid Lipid Nanoparticles With Tunable Immunomodulatory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel engineering strategy that establishes material design principles for incorporating anti‐inflammatory steroids into lipid nanoparticles to reduce LNP‐induced inflammation while retaining mRNA delivery. Results are validated in vitro and in three animal models of inflammation and autoimmunity in vivo.

Ultrathin Hydrogel Membranes Inspired by Soap Films Enable Physiologically Relevant Breathing Lung Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soap‐film inspired strategy enables the fabrication of ultrathin yet robust GelMA‐PAAm membranes for breathing lung culture. The hydrogel membrane supports long‐term cyclic deformation under air‐liquid interface conditions, enabling physiologically relevant breathing motions of engineered lung tissue culture. ABSTRACT Breathing continuously stretches
