A Microbial Lipid‐ATP Synthase Axis Fuels NK Cell Antitumor Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study focuses on the mechanism by which gut microbiota‐derived outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) regulate NK cell antitumor activity. B. intestinalis is identified to decrease extra‐intestinal tumor growth via its OMVs enriched in sphingosine (SP).

Do we need a standardized 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing analysis protocol for poultry microbiota research?

open access: yesPoultry Science
Bacteria are the major component of poultry gastrointestinal tract (GIT) microbiota and play an important role in host health, nutrition, physiology regulation, intestinal development, and growth.

Isolation and identification of bacterial endosymbionts in the brooding brittle star Amphipholis squamata [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Symbiotic associations with subcuticular bacteria (SCB) have been identified and studied in numerous echinoderms, including the SCB of the brooding brittle star, Amphipholis squamata.

Endothelial GPR68 Is Essential for Arteriogenesis and Represents a Therapeutic Target in a Model of Peripheral Artery Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Endothelial GPR68 is identified as a critical regulator of collateral artery growth in peripheral artery disease. Genetic and pharmacological evidence demonstrates that GPR68 integrates hemodynamic cues to drive monocyte recruitment and inflammatory remodeling, thereby promoting collateral arteriogenesis and tissue perfusion after ischemia ...

Degradation of reactive red 195 by selected bacteria from textile wastewater [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Four selected bacterial strains coded R1, R2, Rc and Rd were successfully isolated from raw textile wastewater. They were screened for their ability to degrade an azo dye of Reactive Red 195 on solid and in liquid dye-containing media.

NUDT21 Drives T‐Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Through Dual Regulation of Alternative Polyadenylation and Transcriptional Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In summary, our study defines a coordinated oncogenic model in which NUDT21 integrates alternative polyadenylation–dependent UBE2D3 stabilization and transcriptional activation to sustain MYC‐driven T‐ALL cell survival, thereby establishing NUDT21 as a central regulatory node and a promising therapeutic target.

Mouse nucleolus-like body supports transcription and enhances processing of rRNA in porcine enucleolated oocytes

open access: yesMacedonian Veterinary Review
Fully-grown mammalian oocytes contain morphologically evident but transcriptionally inactive nucleoli called “nucleolus-like bodies” (NLBs). These nuclear structures are essential for early embryonic development.
