Bridging Randomized Trial Efficacy and Real‐World Effectiveness in Multiple Myeloma: Integrating Clinical Trials and Real‐World Evidence for Individualized Care

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multiple myeloma (MM) is predominantly a disease of older adults, yet the randomized clinical trials (RCTs) that define standards of care are conducted largely in younger, fitter, and less comorbid populations. This creates a systematic mismatch between the populations generating evidence and those receiving treatment in routine practice ...

GCN2 in proteostasis: structural logic, signalling networks and disease

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Threats to protein synthesis activate the kinase GCN2, initiating the integrated stress response (ISR). GCN2 is triggered by stalled ribosomes and uncharged tRNAs, which accumulate when amino acids are scarce. The ISR adjusts cellular physiology by promoting redox balance, protein quality control, and mitochondrial optimisation.

Participant recruitment, Pre-existing RWD access, Prospective RWD acquisition and secure storage -v3

open access: yes
D8.3-D8.7, reported in 5 deliverables, each one being an update of the previous one, aim to: (a) reflect the number of participants enrolled prospectively on a biannual basis until the end of the study and verify ethical RWD acquisition following informed consent and IRB approval; (b) document the amount of RWD reflective of our CoBraD Protocol ...

Do the biological characteristics of trout (Salmo trutta) smolts influence their spring migration timing and maiden marine sojourn duration?

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Anadromous salmonids migrate seaward to exploit feeding and growth opportunities in marine habitats, yet how smolt biological characteristics influence their marine migratory behavior remains poorly understood. This study used 9 years of trout (Salmo trutta) population monitoring data from 15,595 tagged age‐0+ parr, 1033 smolts detected ...

Modified fin morphology in mackerel icefish (Champsocephalus gunnari) may indicate nesting behaviour

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Monitoring reproductive traits in Southern Ocean species is challenging. Males in some channichthyids thicken the epithelium along their anal fins to aid nest construction. This study presents initial evidence that the only commercially harvested channichthyid, mackerel icefish (Champsocephalus gunnari), exhibits modifications to their anal ...
