Salvianolic acid J, a depside from Salvia flava

Phytochemistry, 1994
Abstract A new depside, salvianolic acid J, was isolated from an aqueous extract of Salvia flava as a trace component, together with salvianolic acids A and B. The major component was rosmarinic acid.

Salvianolic Acid I: A New Depside fromSalvia cavaleriei

Planta Medica, 1994
A new depside named salvianolic acid I was isolated from the aqueous extract of SALVIA CAVALERIEI, along with salvianolic acids A, B, C, H, isosalvianolic acid C, lithospermic acid, and rosmarinic acid. The chemical struktures were determined by spectral analysis.

Protective effects of salvianolic acid A on clozapine‐induced cardiotoxicity in zebrafish

Journal of Applied Toxicology, 2022
AbstractThe clinical use of clozapine (CLZ), an atypical antipsychotic drug, was affected by side effects, such as cardiotoxicity. We selected normally developing zebrafish embryos to explore the antagonism of salvianolic acid A (SAA) against clozapine‐induced cardiotoxicity. Embryos were treated with CLZ and SAA, and zebrafish phenotypes were observed

Research progress of salvianolic acid A

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica, 2011
Salvianolic acid A is a water-soluble component from Danshen, which is frequently used in traditional Chinese medicine. High performance liquid chromatography was often used to analyze content of salvianolic acid A. The yield of salvianolic acid A increased by the technological improvement of extraction and separation.

Salvianolic Acid A, a New Depside from Roots ofSalvia miltiorrhiza

Planta Medica, 1984
A new depside of D-(+)-beta-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-lactic acid and 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenylethenyl)-caffeic acid, named salvianolic acid A, was isolated from the dried roots of SALVIA MILTIORRHIZA Bunge. Its chemical structure was defined by spectral analysis and chemical degradation.

Salvianolic acid A inhibits tumor-associated angiogenesis by blocking GRP78 secretion

Naunyn-Schmiedeberg's Archives of Pharmacology, 2018
Glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) often highly expresses in a wide range of tumors, which plays promotive functions due to its diversity of location in the development of tumor. Particularly, GRP78 can be secreted into microenvironment by tumor cells through the pathway of exosome, which promotes proliferation, angiogenesis, and drug resistance in ...

Effect of salvianolic acid A on anesthetized canine experimental myocardial infarction

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica, 2016
Salvianolic acid A (SAA), one of the major active water-soluble salvianolic acids of traditional Chinese medicine Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, has been reported to be effective on anti-myocardial ischemia, anti-oxidation and anti-thrombus. This study aimed to investigate appropriate administration route on dogs with acute myocardial ischemia(AMI). Twenty-

Chemoproteomics and Phosphoproteomics Profiling Reveals Salvianolic Acid A as a Covalent Inhibitor of mTORC1

Journal of Proteome Research, 2023
Salvianolic acid A (SAA), a major active ingredient of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge (Danshen), displays strong antiproliferative activity against cancer cells. However, their protein targets remain unknown. Here, we deconvoluted the protein targets of SAA using chemoproteomics and phosphoproteomics.

Immunomodulatory effects of Salvianolic acid B in a spontaneous abortion mouse model

Journal of Reproductive Immunology, 2020
Pregnancy is a kind of natural immune tolerance. Immune factors play an important role in recurrent spontaneous abortion and repeated implantation failure. Salvianolic acid B (SalB) has anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidation and immunomodulatory functions.
