Programmed Cell Death in Chronic Rhinosinusitis

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a prevalent upper respiratory condition characterized by a multifaceted etiology involving various cellular and molecular processes. In recent years, researchers have increasingly recognized the significance of different forms of programmed cell death (PCD), such as apoptosis and pyroptosis, in the pathological ...

SB203580 treatment reduces TNF-α in DENV-infected mice. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Mice were infected with 4 × 105 FFU/ml of DENV and treated with 2%DMSO (v/v) or SB203580 dissolved in 2%DMSO. The control (uninfected) group was treated with 2%DMSO (v/v) alone.

The p38 MAPK Inhibitor SB203580 Abrogates Tumor Necrosis Factor-Induced Proliferative Expansion of Mouse CD4+Foxp3+ Regulatory T Cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
There is now compelling evidence that tumor necrosis factor (TNF) preferentially activates and expands CD4+Foxp3+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) through TNF receptor type II (TNFR2).

Santamarine Synergizes With Cisplatin via ROS/JNK Axis to Selectively Induce Apoptosis and DNA Damage in Oral Cancer Cells In Vitro

open access: yesDrug Development Research, Volume 87, Issue 4, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Santamarine (SAMA), a Michelia compressa‐derived sesquiterpene lactone, exhibits ROS‑mediated anticancer activity; however, its potential mechanisms and synergy with cisplatin in oral cancer have not been explored. This study investigated SAMA and cisplatin's combined effects and underlying ROS/MAPK mechanisms of action on oral cancer cells ...

Role of SLDE in G-CSF 3'UTR mediates increase of mRNA stability induced by SB203580 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013

Role and effects of p38MAPK pathway inhibitors on Pinctada fucata martensii after Vibrio parahaemolyticus infection

open access: yesAquaculture Reports
The SB203580 inhibitor, a blocker of the p38MAPK pathway, has been widely studied for bioimmune applications. To investigate its immune effect of Vibrio parahaemolyticus on Pinctada fucata martensii, the key genes, PmMKK6 and PmCREB, downstream of the ...

AMSC‐sEVs Ameliorated Crohn's Disease by Inhibiting Macrophage‐Myofibroblast Transition Through the Delivery of MFGE8

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 6, June 2026.
Our study demonstrated that TGF‐β1 activated MAPK signalling pathway and promoted the MMT and secretion of CCL17 under CD‐associated intestinal inflammatory conditions. AMSC‐sEVs can deliver MFGE8, which inhibits MMT and CCL17‐mediated Treg recruitment by suppressing the MAPK signalling pathway, thereby alleviating intestinal fibrosis.

Role of Autophagy on Cobrotoxin Induced Cell Death of A549

open access: yesChinese Journal of Lung Cancer, 2013
Background and objective It has been proven that cobrotoxin has anti-tumor effect while its role in lung cancer is rarely studied. The aim of this study is to assay the anti-tumor effect of cobrotoxin in cell line A549, and also to explore its possible ...

SB203580 treatment reduces the phosphorylation of ATF-2. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Proteins were extracted from the liver tissue samples of 2%DMSO-treated (uninfected), 2%DMSO-treated DENV-infected, and SB203580-treated DENV-infected groups of mice.

SB203580, a P38 MAPK Inhibitor, Blocks in vitro Invasion by Human Gastric SNU-638 Cells

open access: yesCancer Research and Treatment, 2002
The role of P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) in gastric cancer invasion has not yet been determined. In this study, we examined the effects of SB203580, a specific P38 MAPK inhibitor, on the in vitro invasion of gastric cancer and upon the molecules involved in this process.Human gastric cancer SNU-638 cells were maintained in RPMI 1640 ...
