Proceedings of the 2016 5th International Conference on Environment, Materials, Chemistry and Power Electronics, 2016 The methanol extract of Schisandra chinensis is evaluated for their antimicrobial activity and mechanism on four common gastrointestinal bacteria. The antimicrobial activity is tested through inhibition zone, MIC and MBC. The antibacterial mechanism is studied based on the growth curve and cell membrane permeability.
