Families of Frobenius seaweed Lie algebras [PDF]
We extend the set of known infinite families of Frobenius seaweed Lie subalgebras of $\mathfrak{sl}_{n}$ to include a family which is the first non-trivial general family containing algebras whose associated meanders have an arbitrarily large number of parts.

[Abstract] The concept of biosorption results from the “passive” (nonmetabolic) interaction of a chemical species with a particle of a biological material. This interaction can be practically exploited, for example, for removal of toxic substances of wastewaters or for the enrichment of a fertilizer with micronutrients.

Statistics on integer partitions arising from seaweed algebras [PDF]
Using the index theory of seaweed algebras, we explore various new integer partition statistics. We find relations to some well-known varieties of integer partitions as well as a surprising periodicity result.

Exotic asphyxiation: interactions between invasive species and hypoxia
ABSTRACT Non‐indigenous species (NIS) and hypoxia (<2 mg O2 l−1) can disturb and restructure aquatic communities. Both are heavily influenced by human activities and are intensifying with global change. As these disturbances increase, understanding how they interact to affect native species and systems is essential.

Recommendations for built marine infrastructure that supports natural habitats
The extent of built marine infrastructure—from energy infrastructure and ports to artificial reefs and aquaculture—is increasing globally. The rise in built structure coverage is concurrent with losses and degradation of many natural habitats. Although historically associated with net negative impacts on natural systems, built infrastructure—with ...

Regular functionals on seaweed Lie algebras [PDF]
The index of a Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ is defined by ind $\mathfrak{g}=$ $\min_{f\in \mathfrak{g}^*}\dim(\ker (B_f))$, where $f$ is an element of the linear dual $\mathfrak{g}^*$ and $B_f(x,y)=f([x,y])$ is the associated skew-symmetric Kirillov form.

Impact of polysaccharides on advancing plant‐based meat alternatives
An outline of plant‐based meat production by incorporating polysaccharides. Abstract Plant‐based meat products are a valued choice for vegetarians and others. Their production has been perceived as an innovation promoting animal welfare and sustainability.

Conservation status, research, and knowledge of seagrass habitats in World Heritage properties
This study assesses the relative importance of seagrass habitats toward the values of World Heritage properties and reviews the current knowledge about the conservation status, threats, monitoring, and management of seagrass habitats within WH properties. We highlight the lack of research, monitoring, reporting, and management instrument addressing the

Abstract Aim Kelp forests throughout temperate regions of the world serve as foundation species that play a critical role in sustaining the health and function of marine ecosystems but are experiencing declines in abundance due to a loss in resilience as the ocean climate changes.

Report on Gamma-Ray Analysis of Seaweed Samples from Naturespirit Herbs LLC [PDF]
Five seaweed samples from Naturespirit Herbs LLC were counted using low-background high-resolution gamma-ray detectors to search for evidence of contamination from the Fukushima reactor accident. No evidence of Cs-134 was observed in any of the samples.
