Soluble Sema4D From γδ T Cells Exerts Osteoblast Inhibition via Plexin‐B/mTOR Signalling Contributing to Pathogenesis of Bisphosphonate‐Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaws

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 4, April 2026.
Schematic summarizing the pathway of sSema4D from γδ T cells inhibiting osteoblast differentiation in BRONJ. ABSTRACT Bisphosphonate‐related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ) is a severe complication in patients undergoing long‐term bisphosphonate therapy, while our knowledge on the pathogenesis of BRONJ is far from sufficient.

Dysregulated Sheddase Signalling as a Molecular Driver of Plaque Instability Revealed by Integrative Transcriptomics

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 8, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Atherosclerosis is a major cause of mortality due to chronic and progressive low‐grade inflammation and fibroproliferative remodelling of the intima of arteries. Comprehensive understanding of the interplay between plaque biology and the mechanisms underlying plaque vulnerability and rupture is essential.

ORMDL Proteins Turnover via Proteasome and Autophagy Is Cell‐Type Dependent and Tied to Ceramide Homeostasis

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 6, 31 March 2026.
ORMDL proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) negatively regulate serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT) activity in response to the rate of de novo sphingolipid synthesis. Disruption of ceramide homeostasis by myriocin or fumonisin B1 (FB1) appears to destabilize the ORMDL‐SPT complex, leading to ORMDL degradation as a feedback mechanism.

Semaphorin 7A plays a critical role in TGF-β1–induced pulmonary fibrosis [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Experimental Medicine, 2007
Semaphorin (SEMA) 7A regulates neuronal and immune function. In these studies, we tested the hypothesis that SEMA 7A is also a critical regulator of tissue remodeling. These studies demonstrate that SEMA 7A and its receptors, plexin C1 and β1 integrins, are stimulated by transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 in the murine lung. They also demonstrate that

Production of semaphorin-7A in the NIH3T3 fibroblast cell line decreases expression of periostin and fibronectin.

open access: yes, 2017
The NIH3T3 fibroblast cell line was transfected with 0.75 μg of plasmid control (pcDNA) or semaphorin-7A-expressing plasmid (pSEMA7A) for 24h. Cells were subsequently starved for 24 h and then activated with TGF-ß1 (1ng/ml) or left untreated for 24 h. A/

CRISPLD2 Attenuates Intervertebral Disc Degeneration by Suppressing Oxidative Stress‐Induced Ferroptosis through the miR‐548I‐IL17A Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
This study identifies CRISPLD2 as a key protector against IVDD. By regulating ferroptosis through the CRISPLD2–miR‐548I–IL17A axis, CRISPLD2 maintains NPCs homeostasis and reduces oxidative stress. Restoring CRISPLD2 expression effectively alleviates disc degeneration and highlights a promising therapeutic strategy for discogenic low back pain ...

Strategies for Monitoring Serum Protein Degradation With an Antibody Array‐Based Technology

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 40, Issue 5, March 2026.
This study analyzed the stability of 480 proteins in human serum samples collected from 10 healthy donors and incubated at room temperature for 0–48 h. Antibody array profiling revealed significant time‐dependent degradation of 201 proteins. Subsequent physicochemical and functional enrichment analyses demonstrated that the degraded proteins were ...

Semaphorin heterodimerization in cis regulates membrane targeting and neocortical wiring

open access: yesNature Communications
Disruption of neocortical circuitry and architecture in humans causes numerous neurodevelopmental disorders. Neocortical cytoarchitecture is orchestrated by various transcription factors such as Satb2 that control target genes during strict time windows.

Tumor-derived SEMA7A regulates fatty acid oxidation in the tumor-associated macrophages to promote the progression of non-small cell lung cancer

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is an aggressive cancer with a poor prognosis. Despite the success of therapies for NSCLC, more investigations of new biomarkers for patient selection are urgently needed. Semaphorin 7A (SEMA7A), a soluble tumor-derived
