Abstract The production of disulfide‐containing recombinant proteins often requires refolding of inclusion bodies before purification. A pre‐refolding purification step is crucial for effective refolding because impurities in the inclusion bodies interfere with refolding and subsequent purification.

pH and conductivity transients during elution of IgG from protein A columns
Abstract The evolution of pH and conductivity waves during elution of IgG from protein A columns is studied for the resin MabSelect PrismA as well as other commercial resins using glycine and acetate buffers as eluents. The effects of buffer composition, IgG load, and residence time are explored.

Targeted genome mining identified thermostable enzymes (PETases) that hydrolyze the commonly used plastic polymer polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Thermostable enzymes are identified from thermophilic microbial sources. Experimental results reveal enzymatic activity on authentic PET films, highlighting potential for industrial application.

Cutting‐Edge Aptasensing Approaches for Electrochemical Detection of Exosomes Utilizing MXenes
This work notably summarizes research on 2D MXenes/MXene's‐hybrid‐based nanoplatforms patterned with aptamers as an alternative to antibodies affording highly sensitive and robust biosensing of exosomes as well as their efficient isolation. The exosomes are highlighted as a valuable source of biomarkers and with the immobilization approaches of ...

ABSTRACT Actin filaments are dynamic polymers whose length depends on regulated monomer association and dissociation at their ends. Actin barbed‐end dynamics are relatively better understood, primarily due to the approximately tenfold faster subunit on/off rates at barbed versus pointed ends.

Hybrid Polarizing Solids with Extended Pore Diameters for Dissolution Dynamic Nuclear Polarization
Versatile and easily filtrable hyperpolarizing solids are introduced, used to generate pure hyperpolarized solutions by dissolution dynamic nuclear polarization (dDNP) for nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), compatible with virtually any existing polarizer.

Abstract Background The emergence of multicellularity in animals marks a pivotal evolutionary event, which was likely enabled by molecular innovations in the way cells adhere and communicate with one another. β‐Catenin is significant to this transition due to its dual role as both a structural component in the cadherin–catenin complex and as a ...

STIP1 drives Metabolic Reprogramming in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma via AHCY‐LDHA Axis
A schematic model illustrating that LCA can inhibit ESCC growth by inhibiting the STIP1/AHCY/LDHA axis. In brief. Jin et al. demonstrated that targeting STIP1 can significantly inhibit the progression of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. The high expression of STIP1 increased the interaction between AHCY and LDHA and then AHCY recruits PRMT3 to ...

BslA is a promising tool to create an robust self‐emulsifying biocatalysis platform by reducing the droplet sizes of emulsion and improving its stability. It could guarantee the efficient hydrolysis of astaxanthin esters catalyzed by Est3‐14 without extra emusifier, increasing the yield of free astaxanthin to 184 μg·mL−1.
