Technical efficiency of shrimp fishery in South Carolina, USA
Applied Economics Letters, 2008The increased inflow of imported shrimp into the US has lowered shrimp prices in the marketplace and with it, ex-vessel prices received by shrimp fishermen. Proposed remedies are aimed at strategies to increase the prices received by domestic producers.

Job Satisfaction in the Shrimp Trawl Fisheries of Vietnam
Social Indicators Research, 2012This paper investigates the job satisfaction of small-scale shrimp trawl fishers in the vicinity of Camau National Park in southern Vietnam. The research sample consisted of 77 fishers who belong to a growing population of shrimp fishers in the region. The results suggest that 60 % would change their fishing metier, 78 % would leave fishing for another

Transactions of the American Fisheries Society, 1960Abstract From June 1957 through May 1959 the bait shrimp fishery in Galveston Bay, Texas, was studied to determine the species composition and the magnitude of the catch. Total production for the 2-year period amounted to over 676,000 pounds, having a retail value of almost $779,000.
