Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Xilinx Kintex-UltraScale Field Programmable Gate Array Single Event Effects (SEE) Heavy-Ion Test Report [PDF]

open access: yes
This is an independent investigation that evaluates the single event destructive and transient susceptibility of the Xilinx Kintex-UltraScale device. Design/Device susceptibility is determined by monitoring the device under test (DUT) for Single Event ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Synergistic Effect of TID and SEE in 130 nm 7T SOI SRAM

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu
The space environment is a very harsh operating environment, and space radiation can directly affect the operation of electronic devices causing total ionizing dose (TID), single event effect (SEE) and displacement damage (DD).

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Design and qualification of the SEU/TD Radiation Monitor chip [PDF]

open access: yes
This report describes the design, fabrication, and testing of the Single-Event Upset/Total Dose (SEU/TD) Radiation Monitor chip. The Radiation Monitor is scheduled to fly on the Mid-Course Space Experiment Satellite (MSX).

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Atmospheric neutron inducing single event effects on AI chips manufacturing with 8 nm FinFET

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
--With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) chips in diverse applications, single event effects (SEE) caused by high energy particles in ambient environment have emerged as a critical concern.
