The Concise Guide to PHARMACOLOGY 2025/26: Transporters

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 182, Issue S1, Page S404-S496, December 2025.
The Concise Guide to Pharmacology 2025/26 marks the seventh edition in this series of biennial publications in the British Journal of Pharmacology. Presented in landscape format, the guide provides a comparative overview of the pharmacology of drug target families. The concise nature of the Concise Guide refers to the style of presentation, being clear,

Integrated Analysis of the LncRNA‐Mediated ceRNA Network Associated With Prognosis in Posttreatment Recurrent Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 29, Issue 23, December 2025.
ABSTRACT The competing endogenous RNA hypothesis offers new insights into tumour progression, yet its role in posttreatment nasopharyngeal carcinoma relapse remains unclear. This study constructed ceRNA networks to identify molecular markers associated with NPC relapse.

Proteomics Insights Into Lysosome Biogenesis and Maturation

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, Volume 25, Issue 21-22, Page 6-24, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Lysosomes constitute the main degradative organelle of most eukaryotic cells and are capable of breaking down a wide spectrum of biomolecules, including proteins, lipids, glycans, and DNA/RNA. They play crucial roles in the regulation of cellular homeostasis, acting as metabolic signaling centers for the correlation of nutrient availability ...

Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 8, Page 2270-2291, August 2025.
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Family History of Hypertension Predicts Thyroid Cancer Risk in Women: A Population‐Based Cross‐Sectional Study With Integrative Machine Learning and Genomic Analyses

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 15, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Thyroid cancer is one of the most common endocrine malignancies globally, with a markedly higher incidence in women. Although pregnancy‐induced hypertension is recognized as a risk factor, the underlying mechanisms linking hypertension and thyroid cancer remain poorly understood.

Clinical whole genome sequencing in pediatric epilepsy: Genetic and phenotypic spectrum of 733 individuals

open access: yesEpilepsia, Volume 66, Issue 8, Page 2966-2979, August 2025.
Abstract Objective A large proportion of pediatric epilepsies have an underlying genetic etiology. Limited studies have explored the efficacy of whole genome sequencing (WGS) in a clinical setting. Our academic–clinical center implemented clinical whole exome sequencing (WES) in 2014, then transitioned to WGS from 2015.

Unveiling the therapeutic potential of IHMT-337 in glioma treatment: targeting the EZH2-SLC12A5 axis

open access: yesMolecular Medicine
AbstractGlioma is the most common malignant tumor of the central nervous system, with EZH2 playing a crucial regulatory role. This study further explores the abnormal expression of EZH2 and its mechanisms in regulating glioma progression. Additionally, it was found that IHMT-337 can potentially be a therapeutic agent for glioma.

Epigenetic Clock in Bears: A Simple Cost‐Effective Blood DNA Methylation‐Based Age Estimation Method Applicable to Multiple Bear Species

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2025.
Age is an essential factor to understand the life history and demographic parameters of wildlife. In this study, we built a common epigenetic clock model for multiple bear species, including brown, Asian black, polar, sun, and Andean bears. The model will contribute to ecological research, conservation, and management of bear species.

Brain phosphoproteomic analysis identifies diabetes‐related substrates in Alzheimer's disease pathology in older adults

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 2, February 2025.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Type 2 diabetes increases the risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD) dementia. Insulin signaling dysfunction exacerbates tau protein phosphorylation, a hallmark of AD pathology. However, the comprehensive impact of diabetes on patterns of AD‐related phosphoprotein in the human brain remains underexplored.

Epitranscriptomic RNA m6A Modification in Cancer Therapy Resistance: Challenges and Unrealized Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, January 27, 2025.
Tumors develop resistance to therapeutic agents, unfortunately, efforts to overcome resistance have achieved limited success. m6A RNA modification dysregulation is an emerging mechanism for cancer therapy resistance. This review comprehensively discusses recent studies regarding the contributions of m6A modification and its regulators to cancer therapy
