Dual‐Targeting Biomimetic Nanozymes Loaded Microneedle Patch Promotes Scarless Wound Healing Through Anti‐Inflammatory and Anti‐Fibrotic Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a dual‐targeting biomimetic nanozyme hybrid system (Cu‐CeO2@ABs‐FTP) and integrated it with HAMA hydrogel to fabricate a microneedle patch (CAF@MN). The patch promotes fibroblast‐mediated wound repair, targets macrophages to induce M2 polarization, and targets myofibroblasts to exert anti‐fibrotic effects, thereby enabling rapid ...

Smad2 Preserves Corneal Stromal Homeostasis by Restraining Profibrotic Smad3/YAP/TEAD2 Transcriptional Program

open access: yesCells
Corneal transparency depends on quiescence of stromal cells derived from neural crest cells and a well-controlled extracellular matrix. Disruption of this homeostasis causes fibrotic scarring, a leading cause of blindness.

Therapy for Myhre Syndrome: Goals, Misconceptions, and Current Agents

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part C: Seminars in Medical Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Myhre Syndrome (MYHRS, MIM #139210) is a rare, multisystem connective tissue disorder caused by recurrent heterozygous gain‐of‐function pathogenic variants in the SMAD4 gene, a key player in TGF‐β signaling and a regulator of extracellular matrix homeostasis.

Ribosomal Proteins Rpl22 and Rpl22l1 Control Morphogenesis by Regulating Pre-mRNA Splicing

open access: yesCell Reports, 2017
Summary: Most ribosomal proteins (RP) are regarded as essential, static components that contribute only to ribosome biogenesis and protein synthesis. However, emerging evidence suggests that RNA-binding RP are dynamic and can influence cellular processes

Review of the Molecular and Developmental Basis of Myhre Syndrome, Bench Research

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part C: Seminars in Medical Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Myhre syndrome (MS) is a connective‐tissue disorder within the acromelic dysplasia spectrum. It is characterized by congenital craniofacial, skeletal, cutaneous anomalies, respiratory, cardiovascular along with intellectual disability, deafness, and progressive fibrosis.

Glucose-Regulated Protein 78 Signaling Regulates Hypoxia-Induced Epithelial–Mesenchymal Transition in A549 Cells

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2019
Objective: Metastasis and therapeutic resistance are the major determinants of lung cancer progression and high mortality. Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays a key role in the metastasis and therapeutic resistance.

SDPR–STK38 axis controls the proliferation–differentiation balance in alveolar type II cells

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The present study identifies SDPR as a pivotal regulator orchestrating the balance between proliferation and differentiation in alveolar type II (AT2) cells. In SDPR+/+ cells, SDPR binds to and inhibits STK38 activity, thereby sustaining GSK‐3β signaling functionality to promote cyclin D1 degradation and maintain cell cycle homeostasis.

Comparison of rat hypertrophic scar models: Caudal tension model with superior pathological consistency

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study compared hypertrophic scar (HS) formation in SD rats at ear, back, and tail sites with or without mechanical tension. The ear model healed spontaneously by day 30. Dorsal full‐thickness excision (1 × 8 cm) produced moderate HS. In contrast, the tail tension model showed the greatest scar thickness, fibroblast density, collagen deposition ...

Follicle Stimulating Hormone in Cattle Breeding: Fundamentals, Innovations, and Scope

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
FSH is crucial in cattle reproduction, with exogenous administration enhancing breeding and embryo production. Recombinant FSH offers advantages over pituitary‐extracted variants, including fewer injections, reduced stress, and safer production. These innovations improve breeding efficiency, optimize reproductive outcomes, and contribute to sustainable

Connective tissue growth factor mediates transforming growth factor β-induced collagen expression in human endometrial stromal cells.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
BACKGROUND:Adenomyosis is a medical condition defined by the abnormal presence of endometrial tissue within the myometrium, in which fibrosis occurs with new collagen deposition and myofibroblast differentiation.
