EIF1AX Nucleolar Condensates Enhance Susceptibilities for the Management of Endometrial Cancer
This schematic illustrates the mechanism of a senolytic strategy in endometrial cancer. EIF1AX facilitates the incorporation of DDX21 into nucleolar condensates, an event that suppresses rDNA transcription and induces cellular senescence. The compound 2,5‐MeC exploits this pathway by promoting EIF1AX nucleolar translocation and condensate formation ...

Nanoscale Mapping of the Subcellular Glycosylation Landscape
Using multiplexed super‐resolution imaging with fluorophore‐labeled lectins, this study reports intracellular glycosylation at the nanoscale across organelles and synaptic specializations. Extending glycan analysis beyond the cell surface, Glyco‐STORM reveals distinct glycosylation nanodomains in the ER, Golgi, lysosomes, and synaptic sites.

Mapping targets for small nucleolar RNAs in yeast [PDF]
Background: Recent analyses implicate changes in the expression of the box C/D class of small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) in several human diseases. Methods: Here we report the identification of potential novel RNA targets for box C/D snoRNAs in budding yeast, using the approach of UV crosslinking and sequencing of hybrids (CLASH) with the snoRNP proteins

Nucleolar integrity during interphase supports faithful Cdk1 activation and mitotic entry [PDF]
The nucleolus is a dynamic nuclear body that has been demonstrated to disassemble at the onset of mitosis; the relationship between cell cycle progression and nucleolar integrity, however, remains poorly understood.

This research deciphers the m6A transcriptome by profiling its sites and functional readout effects: from mRNA stability, translation to alternative splicing, across five different cell types. Machine learning model identifies novel m6A‐binding proteins DDX6 and FXR2 and novel m6A reader proteins FUBP3 and L1TD1.

snOPY: a small nucleolar RNA orthological gene database [PDF]
Abstract Background Small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) are a class of non-coding RNAs that guide the modification of specific nucleotides in ribosomal RNAs (rRNAs) and small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs). Although most non-coding RNAs undergo post-transcriptional modifications prior to maturation, the functional significance of ...

snR30/U17 Small Nucleolar Ribonucleoprotein: A Critical Player during Ribosome Biogenesis
The small nucleolar RNA snR30 (U17 in humans) plays a unique role during ribosome synthesis. Unlike most members of the H/ACA class of guide RNAs, the small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein (snoRNP) complex assembled on snR30 does not direct pseudouridylation

Impairing the production of ribosomal RNA activates mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 signalling and downstream translation factors [PDF]
Ribosome biogenesis is a key process for maintaining protein synthetic capacity in dividing or growing cells, and requires coordinated production of ribosomal proteins and ribosomal RNA (rRNA), including the processing of the latter.
