Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

THE MODEL AND FUNCTION OF QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF IMPLEMENTATION OF DESIGN PATTERNS [PDF]
One of the ways of providing high internal software quality (that is a source code) is using design patterns. The article aims at presenting a suggested model which enables one to assess the quality of implementation of design patterns. The model assumes

A methodology to assess the impact of design patterns on software quality
Context Software quality is considered to be one of the most important concerns of software production teams. Additionally, design patterns are documented solutions to common design problems that are expected to enhance software quality.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Weighted Content Similarity Feature for Software Architecture Anti-Patterns Prediction [PDF]
As user needs change frequently over time, software systems must evolve; therefore, increased software complexity inevitably violates software engineering principles. The violations of these principles are called anti-patterns, which differ from bugs and

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

PatEvol – A pattern language for evolution in component-based software architectures [PDF]
Modern software systems are prone to a continuous evolution under frequently varying requirements. Architecture-centric software evolution (ACSE) enables change in system structure and behavior while maintaining a global view of software to address ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Software patterns to improve knowledge transfer: an experiment. [PDF]
Patterns for software development have been a hot topic for some time within the object-oriented community. Patterns are part of a software engineering problem-solving discipline. It all started with Design Patterns [11], but gradually patterns were used
