Hyperspectral Imaging for Predicting Soluble Solid Content of Starfruit

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi, 2015
Hyperspectral imaging technology is a powerful tool for non-destructive quality assessment of fruits. The objective of this research was to develop novel calibration model based on hyperspectral imaging to estimate soluble solid content (SSC) of starfruits. A hyperspectral imaging system, which consists of a near infrared  camera, a spectrograph V10, a

Quantitative trait locus analysis of grape weight and soluble solid content

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Research, 2015
A grapevine hybrid population was derived from a crossing of the early-maturing female parent cultivar '87-1' and the late-maturing male parent cultivar '9-22'. A total of 149 plants were selected from the hybrid population as the mapping population, and after sequence-related amplified polymorphism and simple-sequence repeat marker analysis were ...

The study of soluble solids content accumulation dynamics under the influence of weather factors in the fruits of cherries

open access: yes, 2021
High tasting assessment of the fruit of sweet cherry is due to the favorable soluble solids content (SSC). The weather parameters and varietal features during the formation of fruit have the dominant influence on the accumulation of soluble solids.

Quantitative detection of apple watercore and soluble solids content by near infrared transmittance spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2020
Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy as an emerging analytical technique was used for the first time to quantitatively detect the watercore degree and soluble solids content (SSC) in apple.

Analysis for Soluble Solid Contents in Pineapples using NIR Spectroscopy

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi, 2014
This research investigates the use of predictive models and a low cost spectroscopy in non-invasive Soluble Solids Content (SSC) assessment. The challenge is to model complex and high-dimensional spectral data.  Results indicate that the SSC prediction of pineapples harvested on different days using the proposed approach is promising.
