Addition of Soluble Soybean Polysaccharides to Dairy Products as a Source of Dietary Fiber
Journal of Food Science, 2010Abstract: Increasing consumption of dietary fiber in food leads to many important health benefits: for example, reduction in blood cholesterol, reduced risk of diabetes, and improved laxation. Water soluble soybean polysaccharide (SSPS) is a dietary fiber extracted and refined from okara, a byproduct of soy ...

Enhancing lactose crystallization in aqueous solutions by soluble soybean polysaccharide
Food Research International, 2014Abstract Increasing the crystallization rate without compromising purity is critical to lactose recovery from cheese whey. In this study, soluble soybean polysaccharide (SSPS), a low viscosity polysaccharide, was studied for the impact on lactose crystallization.

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2015
In this research, casting method was used to prepare novel polysaccharide-based bio-nanocomposite films with halloysite nanoclay (HNC). HNC was incorporated into soluble soybean polysaccharide (SSPS) at different concentrations (e.g., 1, 3, and 5%, w/w). Functional properties of SSPS films were evaluated following by ASTM standards.

Sodium caseinate and soluble soybean polysaccharide complex as nano-carriers of curcumin
Journal of Food Measurement and Characterization, 2020Protein-based delivery systems can be used to increase the solubility and bioavailability of curcumin (Cur). In the current work, the synergistic effect of sodium caseinate (NaCas) and soluble soybean polysaccharide (SSPS) on improving the water solubility, stability and in vitro accessibility of Cur was investigated.

The stabilizing behaviour of soybean soluble polysaccharide and pectin in acidified milk beverages
International Dairy Journal, 2006The mechanisms of stabilization of soybean soluble polysaccharide (SSPS) and high methoxyl pectin (HMP) in acidified milk drinks were studied focusing on the differences in behaviour between the two polysaccharides. The changes in casein micelles size during acidification with glucono-δ-lactone or by direct acidification were measured using light ...

Effect of Soluble Soybean Polysaccharide on Dispersion Stability of Acidified Milk Protein
1994The effect of soluble soybean polysaccharide (hereinafter referred to as SSHC) obtained frpm so-called bean-curd rewse, a by-product of bean curd and soybean protein, on the dispersion stability of yoghurt drinks was examined by measuring the viscosity, zeta potential, median diameter, precipitation quantity after centrifugation, and absorbance at 660 ...

Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) were synthesized via a one-step hydrothermal route using soluble soybean polysaccharide (SSPS) as a green and renewable precursor. The resulting SSPS-derived CQDs (SCQDs) were uniform nanodots with average diameters ranging from 2.66 ± 0.69 nm to 2.81 ± 0.57 nm, exhibiting strong blue fluorescence and excellent water ...
