Analyses of the xylem sap proteomes identified candidate Fusarium virguliforme proteinacious toxins. [PDF]
BackgroundSudden death syndrome (SDS) caused by the ascomycete fungus, Fusarium virguliforme, exhibits root necrosis and leaf scorch or foliar SDS. The pathogen has never been identified from the above ground diseased foliar tissues.

Genome-wide identification and characterization of RBR ubiquitin ligase genes in soybean. [PDF]
RBR (RING1-IBR-RING2) proteins play an important role in protein ubiquitination and are involved in many cellular processes. Recent studies showed plant RBR genes were induced by abiotic and biotic stresses.

In vivo protein quality of selected cereal-based staple foods enriched with soybean proteins
Background: One way to diminish protein malnutrition in children is by enriching cereal-based flours for the manufacturing of maize tortillas, wheat flour tortillas, and yeast-leavened breads, which are widely consumed among low socio-economic groups ...

Soybean mosaic virus (SMV), a member of Potyvirus, is the most destructive and widespread viral disease in soybean production. Our earlier studies identified a soybean 40S ribosomal protein S8 (GmRPS8) using the 6K1 protein of SMV as the bait to screen a soybean cDNA library.

Protein Bodies of the Soybean [PDF]
Some microscope observations of the protein bodies of the cotyledon cells of the soybean (Glycine max) are described, together with changes in their appearance which occur on germination. Density gradient centrifugation permits the isolation of protein bodies from soymeal. They contain about 70% of the protein of the bean.

Identification of soybean trans-factors associated with plastid RNA editing sites [PDF]
RNA editing is a posttranscriptional process that changes nucleotide sequences, among which cytosine-to-uracil by a deamination reaction can revert non-neutral codon mutations.
