The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.Repeated paclitaxel exposure causes long‐lasting nociceptor hyperexcitability and axonal retraction in adult sensory neurons. Using a long‐term primary nociceptor culture, we show that hyperexcitability is mediated by sequential upregulation of NaV1.8, TRPV1, TRPA1, and TRPM8 channels.

Summary Cuscuta species are holoparasitic plants that penetrate host stems with haustoria, connect to the vasculature and exhaust water, nutrients and carbohydrates. Plant Biology, EarlyView.Cytogenetic quantification of KNL1‐labelled kinetochores in Ornithogalum kochii reveals a significant positive scaling relationship between chromosome size and kinetochore size, demonstrating that chromosome–kinetochore scaling operates even across moderate intra‐karyotype size variation.
