This study examines how the fruits of non‐photosynthetic forest plants in the Monotropoideae (Ericaceae) have evolved into the diversity observed today. By analyzing four Asian species, we identified a shift from dry, dehiscent fruits that release seeds into the air to fleshy, berry‐like fruits adapted for animal dispersal.

Alignment of the 12 representative conformations with ST2/IL-33 and the binding data of ST2 with IL-33. [PDF]
(A) The D3 domains of the 11 conformations exhibit few clashes with IL-33 after alignment with the ST2/IL-33 structure. IL-33 is shown in surface representation and colored according to the electrostatic charge map where red and white color correspond to

Blockade of IL-33R/ST2 Signaling Attenuates Toxoplasma gondii Ileitis Depending on IL-22 Expression
Oral T. gondii infection (30 cysts of 76K strain) induces acute lethal ileitis in sensitive C57BL/6 (B6) mice with increased expression of IL-33 and its receptor ST2 in the ileum.

The IL-33/ST2 pathway contributes to intestinal tumorigenesis in humans and mice. [PDF]
Colorectal cancer (CRC) develops through a multistep process and is modulated by inflammation. However, the inflammatory pathways that support intestinal tumors at different stages remain incompletely understood.

Abstract Numerous studies have been conducted to determine the performance of formulas for calculating crack width and spacing in reinforced concrete structures. Generally, these studies pay limited attention to the application areas of those formulas and how to compare different representations of the crack width and spacing.

ST2 and IL-33 in Pregnancy and Pre-Eclampsia
Normal pregnancy is associated with a mild systemic inflammatory response and an immune bias towards type 2 cytokine production, whereas pre-eclampsia is characterized by a more intense inflammatory response, associated with endothelial dysfunction and a type 1 cytokine dominance.
