Analysis of Phenolic Compounds for the Determination of Grafts (in) Compatibility Using In Vitro Callus Cultures of Sato-Zakura Cherries

open access: yesPlants, 2021
The aim of this study was to prove that under in vitro conditions, the adhesiveness of the callus between rootstock and scion, the development of callus cells at the points of fusion, and the presence of phenolic components are closely related to the ...

THE STAINING OF COLLAGEN WITH ELASTIC TISSUE STAINS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Histochemistry & Cytochemistry, 1957
We have demonstrated that acetylation or benzoylation of formalin-fixed collagen from the human, rat, or mouse induces its reactivity with the elastic tissue stains: orcein, Weigert's resorcin fuchsin, orcinol-new fuchsin, and Verhoeff's, and blocks the Masson trichrome and the Van Gieson stains which are used to identify collagen.

Stain-less staining for computed histopathology [PDF]

open access: yesTECHNOLOGY, 2015
Dyes such as hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) and immunohistochemical stains have been increasingly used to visualize tissue composition in research and clinical practice. We present an alternative approach to obtain the same information using stain-free chemical imaging.

A Comprehensive Toolkit for Quick and Easy Visualization of Marker Proteins, Protein–Protein Interactions and Cell Morphology in Marchantia polymorpha

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2020
Even though stable genomic transformation of sporelings and thalli of Marchantia polymorpha is straightforward and efficient, numerous problems can arise during critical phases of the process such as efficient spore production, poor selection capacity of

LncRNA PCBP1-AS1 induces osteoporosis by sponging miR-126-5p/PAK2 axis

open access: yesBone & Joint Research, 2023
Aims: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) act as crucial regulators in osteoporosis (OP). Nonetheless, the effects and potential molecular mechanism of lncRNA PCBP1 Antisense RNA 1 (PCBP1-AS1) on OP remain largely unclear. The aim of this study was to explore

Stained [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of General Internal Medicine, 2016
My favorite preceptor makes mistakes. She’s an ob-gyn in a rural area, where a lot of her patients have made mistakes too. There’s the woman on methadone maintenance who keeps miscarrying, who worries that the pain pills she abused through her adolescence have made her body too beleaguered to bear a child. And the woman who came to the hospital after a

Immunocytochemical Phenotyping of Disseminated Tumor Cells in Bone Marrow by uPA Receptor and CK18: Investigation of Sensitivity and Specificity of an Immunogold/Alkaline Phosphatase Double Staining Protocol [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Phenotyping of cytokeratin (CK) 18-positive cells in bone marrow is gaining increasing importance for future prognostic screening of carcinoma patients. Urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPA-R) is one example of a potential aggressive marker
