Realizing the promises for high-value Cassava: root quality traits. [SP12-09] [PDF]
A decade ago CIAT began the search of what it called "High-Value Cassava". What was then only a promise has gradually became a reality. In the area of starch quality traits an amylosefree (waxy) mutation was identified and has now been successfully ...

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Thin‐Film Thermal Sensors on Chitosan Substrates for Sustainable Transient Electronics
Fully transient thin‐film temperature sensors are realized on pure chitosan substrates using Mo‐based RTDs and a‐IGZO/Mo thermistors. The devices exhibit high sensitivity, mechanical flexibility, humidity‐aware operation, and complete dissolution in natural solvents.

Characterization of a partially purified carom (Trachyspermum ammi) extract and its influence on starch functionality and digestibility : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Food Technology (MFoodTech) at Massey University (Manawatu Campus), New Zealand [PDF]
The interactions between starches and the components in spices and herbs have been poorly studied so far. This study investigated the preliminary effects of thirty-six different spices and herbs on pasting properties of rice starch.
