Botany of Stevia and Stevia rebaudiana
2001In view of the fact that only a portion (about 50%) of the members of the genus Stevia has been surveyed for the occurrence of the sweet-tasting compounds (Soejarto et al. 1982; 1983; Kinghorn et al. 1984), a review of the entire genus, in the context of its economic importance, will be useful in setting the stage for other discussions on chemistry ...

Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni): stimulation of seeds

[Sterols in Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni].
Bollettino della Societa italiana di biologia sperimentale, 1985The sterol fraction of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni contains, essentially, the following sterols: stigmasterol (45,8%), beta-sitosterol (39,4%) and campesterol (13,1%). The individual components were separated, after acetylation, by HPLC with absolute methanol as eluant.

Bioactivity and Enzyme Inhibition Properties of Stevia rebaudiana
Current Enzyme Inhibition, 2016Objective: The main study was to evaluate the anti- inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and the gastro-protective properties of extracts of Stevia rebaudiana. In addition the purpose of the study was to investigate new, natural inhibition of urease and xanthine oxidase enzymes, as well as to find the sugar contents of extracts from the plants.

Effect of fertigation on stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) under drip irrigation
Indian Journal of Agronomy, 2001A field experiment was conducted at the Directorate of Water Management, Bhubaneswar (Odisha) during rabi seasons of 2005-06 and 2006-07 to study the effect of drip irrigation regimes and fertigation levels on stevia (Stevia rebaudiana, Bertoni), grown in rice fallow. The treatments included three irrigation regimes (I - drip irriga- 1 tion at 100% PE,

Functional characterization of a Stevia rebaudiana flavonoid glycosyltransferase
Enzyme and Microbial TechnologyStevia rebaudiana, a perennial herb, is recognized not only for its sweet steviol glycosides but also for its rich flavonoid content, which confer pharmacological properties including anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anticancer activities. However, the enzymatic basis underlying flavonoid modification in S. rebaudiana remains poorly understood. In
