Diazo Transfer From Nitrous Oxide Employing Phosphorus Ylides

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A phosphorus ylide‐mediated strategy achieves the direct fixation of nitrous oxide (N2O) to access diazo compounds, which after intra‐ or intermolecular trapping, afford N2‐containing organic building blocks. This approach provides an alternative to hazardous diazo‐transfer reagents and establishes N2O fixation as a sustainable methodology.

The Effect of Stress Hormones, Ultraviolet C, and Stilbene Precursors on Expression of Calcineurin B-like Protein (CBL) and CBL-Interacting Protein Kinase (CIPK) Genes in Cell Cultures and Leaves of Vitis amurensis Rupr

open access: yesPlants, 2023
Calcium serves as a crucial messenger in plant stress adaptation and developmental processes. Plants encode several multigene families of calcium sensor proteins with diverse functions in plant growth and stress responses.

Mammalian Arginase Inhibitory Activity of Methanolic Extracts and Isolated Compounds from Cyperus Species

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Polyphenolic enriched extracts from two species of Cyperus, Cyperus glomeratus and Cyperus thunbergii, possess mammalian arginase inhibitory capacities, with the percentage inhibition ranging from 80% to 95% at 100 µg/mL and 40% to 64% at 10 µg/mL ...

From Stilbenes to carbo‐Stilbenes: an Encouraging Prospect

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal
AbstractBeyond previously described carbo‐naphthalene and carbo‐biphenyl, a novel type of bis‐carbo‐benzenic molecules is envisaged from the stilbene parent. The synthesis, structure, spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of two such carbo‐stilbenes are described at complementary experimental and computational DFT levels. In the selected targets,
