Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

TDPBP Derivative Aiding Liquid-Phase Synthesis Strategy and ACE Inhibitory Structure-activity Relationship of Anti-SARS Octapeptide

open access: yes, 2020
The tri(4\u27-diphenylphosphonyloxylbenzoyl phenyl) phosphate (TDPBP) derivatives were designed and developed as C-terminal supports to aid the greener and highefficient liquid-phase peptide synthesis (LPPS) without the need of unrecyclable resin and ...

Novel indole-based synthetic molecules in cancer treatment: Synthetic strategies and structure-activity relationship

open access: yesMedicine in Drug Discovery
Indole is one of the naturally occurring nitrogen-containing bicyclic heterocyclic ring systems where benzene and pyrrole rings are fused. It has been demonstrated to exhibit versatile biological activities.

Synthesis, docking study and biological evaluation of some new thiourea derivatives bearing benzenesulfonamide moiety

open access: yesChemistry Central Journal, 2017
Background A series of novel N-(2, 6-dimethoxypyrimidin-4-yl)-4-(3-(aryl)thioureido) benzenesulfonamides 3a–t was synthesized by the addition of N-(2,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-4-yl)-4-isothiocyanatobenzenesulfonamide 2 to the appropriate aromatic amine.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Structure-activity relationship of atorvastatin derivatives for metabolic activation by hydrolases

open access: yes, 2019
1. We investigated the structure-activity relationship of 31 kinds of synthesized atorvastatin esters, thioesters, amides and lactone, selected as prodrug models, for metabolic activation by microsomes and hydrolases. 2.
