Purification and identification of flavanone glycosides in the peel of the sweet orange
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1960Abstract From the peel of the sweet orange, Citrus sinensis , the flavanone glycosides naringin and isosakuranetin 7-rhamnoglucoside have been isolated in small quantity and purified by column chromatography, using Magnesol as adsorbent. Hesperidin, the major flavanone glycoside present, was prepared in chromatographically pure form.

TEXTURE OF SWEET ORANGE GELS BY FREE‐CHOICE PROFILING
Journal of Sensory Studies, 1995ABSTRACTTexture of orange gels prepared with 15% fruit pulp, sucrose up to 55° Brix and five different gelling agents — kappa‐carrageenan, kappa‐carrageenan plus locust bean gum, alginate, gellan gum, and gellan, xanthan and locust bean gums — was studied by Free‐Choice Profile (FCP) analysis.

Effect of Citrus sinensis (Sweet Orange) on coagulation
South Asian Journal of Experimental Biology, 2014Citrus sinensis (sweet orange) is widely known for its health-related benefits and has been reported to contain anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and hypo-lipidemic activities. Hence, present study was designed to investigate the effect of Citrus sinensis on blood parameters, coagulation and anticoagula-tion factors. Freshly obtained C.

PHYSICAL AND FRICTIONAL PROPERTIES OF ORANGE AND SWEET LEMON
Applied Engineering in Agriculture, 2004Availability of physical and frictional properties data of citrus fruits is limited. Physical properties (size, unit mass, density, color) and frictional properties [peak static, peak dynamic and average dynamic coefficients of friction (COF)] for orange (Citrus reticulate) and sweet lemon (Citrus sinensis) on five common test surfaces were measured.

Insect Pollinators of Sweet Orange and Their Attributes
Indian Journal of Entomology, 2016Diverse group of pollinators of Hymenoptera, Diptera, Lepidoptera and Coleoptera visit the sweet orange flowers. Of these twelve major true insect pollinators were observed during blooming stage; out of these nine belong to Hymenoptera. The highest foraging speed was observed with Tetragonulairidipennis, highest time serve/day for pollination by Nomia ...

Gibberellic acid and fruit set in sweet orange
Scientia Horticulturae, 1982Abstract A single GA 3 -spray at petal-fall to the entire tree enhanced initial set in the ‘Navelate’ sweet orange ( Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck), but this effect was transient and in most cases final yield was not increased. When followed by girdling, final yield was increased even in the most productive orchards, this effect being due to an increase

Rising living standards heighten the demand for healthier sugar-reduced foods. This study used Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) and Gas Chromatography-Olfactometry-Mass Spectrometry (GC/O-AT) to analyze volatile components in sweet orange juice, identifying 12 key sweet aroma compounds. Sensory and electronic tongue evaluations indicated

Composition of the seed fat of ceylon sweet orange
Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 1960AbstractA study has been made of the composition of the fatty oil which forms about 33% of the dried whole seed. The principal component fatty acids are palmitic (21·8% wt.), oleic (27·4%) and linoleic (34·2%). Myristic and stearic acids each form about 6–7% and linolenic about 2% of the total fatty acids.
