A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

Multi-scale systems toxicology defines a KLF5-centered adverse outcome pathway linking DEHP exposure to pancreatic cancer progression and signaling programs relevant to therapy tolerance

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology
Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) is a ubiquitous plasticizer implicated in pancreatic carcinogenesis, yet the molecular initiating events and adverse outcome pathways (AOPs) linking exposure to disease mechanisms remain poorly resolved.
