Study of the T-cell receptor repertoire by CDR3 spectratyping

Journal of Immunological Methods, 2017
The T-cell receptor (TCR) is the key player within the so called immunological synapse and the analysis of its repertoire offers a picture of both versatility and wideness of the whole immune T-cell compartment. Among the different approaches applied to its study the so-called spectratyping identifies the pattern of the third complementarity ...

Development of the T cell receptor repertoire in lpr mice

Seminars in Immunology, 1994
The development of double-negative (DN; CD4-, CD8-) T cells and their relationship with other T cell subsets in lpr mice remain poorly understood. Based on studies identifying lpr as a mutation in the fas gene, it has been hypothesized that defective apoptosis in the thymus abnormally affects T cell development and results in the lpr phenotype.

Exploring T Cell Receptor Repertoires in Myocardial Diseases

Circulation Research
Mounting experimental and clinical evidence has revealed that adaptive immune mechanisms targeting myocardial antigens are triggered by different forms of cardiac injury and impact disease progression. B and T lymphocytes recognize specific antigens via unique adaptive immune receptors generated through a somatic rearrangement process that

T-cell receptor repertoire in healthy Sardinian subjects

Human Immunology, 2003
The T-cell receptor (TCR) Vbeta gene usage of CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell subpopulations was evaluated by flow cytometric analysis and by CDR3 spectratyping in healthy subjects belonging to Sardinian population, which is ethnically homogeneous and genetically distant from all other Italian and Caucasoid groups.

Analysis of the T cell receptor repertoire in rheumatoid arthritis.

Clinical and experimental rheumatology, 1997
To evaluate whether there is a restricted T cell receptor repertoire in rheumatoid synovium and to analyse the CDR3 region of the V beta families found to be more expressed in the synovial membrane than in the peripheral blood, in order to ascertain the presence of clonotypic expansion of T lymphocytes. The level of expression of individual V beta and V

Probing the T-cell receptor repertoire with deep sequencing

Current Opinion in HIV and AIDS, 2012
To review major findings on the T-cell receptor (TCR) repertoire diversity in response to several viral infections based on conventional methods of PCR, cloning and sequencing and to discuss their limitations in light of the recent methodological advances in deep sequencing.Direct sequencing of TCR expressed by Ag-specific T cells isolated ex vivo has ...
