Biomimetic Hybrid‐Membrane Nanoreactor for Deep‐Seated Photodynamic Immunotherapy of Hepatocellular Carcinoma via Dual Catalysis‐Enhanced ROS Amplification and cGAS‐STING Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
UCNP@MnOx‐Hyp@HRM (UMHM) enables tumor targeting and accumulation. Under 808 nm NIR irradiation, PDT/CDT synergistically triggers ICD and cGAS–STING immunity for deep hepatocellular carcinoma therapy. ABSTRACT Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is promising against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Influence of thymic peptides preparation (t-activin) on anxiety level in rats

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Medicine, 2012
Influence of T-activin on anxiety level in rats in the Porsolt test and the tail suspension test has been studied. Positive effect of thymic polypeptides resulted in the reduction of immobility and in the increase of escape-related activity.

The tail suspension test as a model for assessing antidepressant activity: review of pharmacological and genetic studies in mice.

open access: yes, 2005
Since its introduction almost 20 years ago, the tail suspension test has become one of the most widely used models for assessing antidepressant-like activity in mice.

Altered baroreflex function after tail suspension in the conscious rat

open access: yes, 1990
Experiments were performed on conscious chronically instrumented rats to determine the contribution of peripheral V2-vasopressinergic receptors in any alteration of baroreceptor reflex (BRR) sensitivity on release from 1 wk of 30 degrees head-down tilt ...

Spatially Controlled Embedded Bioprinting of Prevascularized Spheroids‐Containing Biopatch Enables Functional Skin Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A spatially controlled embedded bioprinting strategy enables precise engineering of prevascularized multicellular spheroids within skin‐derived dECM bioinks. Optimized spheroid size, composition, and spacing promote vascular maturation, paracrine signaling, and tissue integration, resulting in enhanced angiogenesis, blood perfusion, and functional skin

Human iPSC‐Derived Tissue‐Engineered Nigrostriatal Pathway for Chronic Restoration of Dopaminergic Axon Tracts in a Rat Parkinson's Model

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by conventional cell therapy and emerging bioengineering approaches, the tissue‐engineered nigrostriatal pathway (TE‐NSP) has an anatomically‐inspired design comprising a population of human dopaminergic neurons with unidirectional, long‐projecting axon tracts.

Evaluation of antidepressant-like effect of hydroalcoholic extract of Passiflora incarnata in animal models of depression in male mice [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of HerbMed Pharmacology, 2014
Introduction: Passiflora incarnata (PI) is one of the commonest herbal anti-anxiety and sedative agents. The aim of the present study was to investigate the antidepressant effect of hydroalcoholic extract of PI in forced swim test (FST) and tail ...

Macrophage–Fibroblast Crosstalk Governs Tumor Mechanics, as Revealed by Spatiotemporal Force Mapping in 3D Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows crosstalk among tumor cells, fibroblasts, and macrophages alters the physical forces inside 3D tumor spheroids. Incorporating deformable microparticles in 3D tumor spheroids, the researchers mapped mechanical stresses spatially and with respect to tumor growth (temporally).

Atom‐Efficient Cerium‐Based Molecular Cages as Biocompatible Reactive Oxygen Scavengers

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Discrete mixed‐valent cerium molecular cages organize accessible redox centers within confined coordination environments and scavenge superoxide, hydrogen peroxide, and hydroxyl radicals. Encapsulation of the lead cage in an ROS‐responsive DTP nanoplatform enables lesion‐associated delivery, attenuates macrophage oxidative stress and inflammation, and ...

"Maximum Covariance Di erence Test for Equality of Two Covariance Matrices" [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a test of equality of two covariance matrices based on the maximum standardized di erence of scalar covariances of two sample covariance matrices. We derive the tail probability of the asymptotic null distribution of the test statistic by the ...
