Gold(I)-Catalyzed Tandem Intramolecular Methoxylation/Double Aldol Condensation Strategy Yielding 2,2′-Spirobi[indene] Derivatives

open access: yes
The syntheses of 2,2′-spirobi[indene] derivatives based on a gold(I)-catalyzed tandem strategy involving intramolecular methoxylation/double aldol condensation were achieved. Examination of the scope of this tandem reaction by using a batch of alkynone

Recycling Catalyst as Reactant: A Sustainable Strategy To Improve Atom Efficiency of Organocatalytic Tandem Reactions

open access: yes, 2018
A sustainable strategy by internally recycling an organocatalyst as a reactant in a downstream reaction to improve the atom efficiency of organocatalytic tandem reactions is described.

Erythropoietin modulates hepatic inflammation, glucose homeostasis, and soluble epoxide hydrolase and epoxides in high‐fat diet‐induced obese mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

A Novel Strategy for Targeted Lipidomics Based on LC-Tandem-MS Parameters Prediction, Quantification, and Multiple Statistical Data Mining: Evaluation of Lysophosphatidylcholines as Potential Cancer Biomarkers

open access: yes, 2019
Lipid quantification is the ultimate goal in lipidomics studies challenged by the availability of standard compounds. A novel strategy for targeted lipidomics based on LC-MS/MS parameters prediction and multivariate statistical analysis was developed for

Bispecific CAR-T cells targeting CD19/20 in patients with relapsed or refractory B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma: a phase I/II trial

open access: yesBlood Cancer Journal
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is a common malignancy in the hematologic system, and traditional therapy has limited efficacy for people with recurrent/refractory NHL (R/R NHL), especially for patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Quantitative proteomic analysis reveals different characteristics of bladder cancer cells after exposure to bisphenol A

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.
