Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Spaceborne Autonomous and Ground Based Relative Orbit Control for the TerraSAR-X/TanDEM-X Formation

open access: yes, 2007
TerraSAR-X (TSX) and TanDEM-X (TDX) are two advanced synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites flying in formation. SAR interferometry allows a high resolution imaging of the Earth by processing SAR images obtained from two slightly different orbits. TSX

Tuning the wettability of tandem electrodes affects CO2 electro-conversion to multicarbon products

open access: yesApplied Surface Science Advances
The tandem catalyst configuration has emerged as an effective strategy for enhancing the electrochemical conversion of CO2 into multicarbon (C2+) products by incorporating a CO-producing layer with a Cu catalyst. While numerous catalyst combinations have

Computational and experimental demonstrations of one-pot tandem catalysis for electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction to methane

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Carbon dioxide can be electrocatalytically reduced to valuable fuels and chemicals, but is hindered by poor catalytic efficiency and selectivity. Here the authors report improved electrocatalytic conversion of carbon dioxide into methane using a tandem ...

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Device simulation and experimental validation of perovskite-cadmium telluride 4T tandem solar cell

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research
Developing tandem solar cells is an excellent strategy to break through the Shockley–Queisser (SQ) limit for single-junction solar cells. A major factor in developing a tandem solar cell is to make it cost-efficient with high device performance. Here, we

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.
