A strategy of gene overexpression based on tandem repetitive promoters in Escherichia coli [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobial Cell Factories, 2012
Abstract Background For metabolic engineering, many rate-limiting steps may exist in the pathways of accumulating the target metabolites. Increasing copy number of the desired genes in these pathways is a general method to solve the problem, for example, the employment of the multi-copy plasmid-based expression system.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Light management in monolithic all-perovskite tandem solar cells

open access: yesLight: Science & Applications
All-perovskite tandem solar cells represent a promising strategy for breaking the Shockley-Queisser limits inherent in single-junction solar cells. Reasonable light management and optical design are necessary for all-perovskite tandem solar cells to ...

Asymmetric tandem reactions: New synthetic strategies

open access: yesPure and Applied Chemistry, 2010
The use of domino and multicomponent reactions in asymmetric synthesis is constantly increasing nowadays. This allows for the synthesis of complex molecules in a single synthetic sequence, usually with high atom economy. Herein, we report three examples of new asymmetric tandem reactions recently developed in our laboratories, giving rise to new ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tandem Strategy and Conversion Mechanism in Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Reaction

open access: yes, 2022
Electrochemistry builds the bridge between renewable electricity and matter. As a promising branch of green chemistry, electrochemistry allows the transformation and utilization of carbon dioxide (CO2) under mild operating conditions per the needs of ...

Retrieval of floating clot in the internal carotid artery: extracranial SAVE technique (eSAVE)

open access: yesDiagnostic and Interventional Radiology, 2019
Acutely ruptured atherosclerotic plaques with adjacent floating clot within the internal carotid artery in patients suffering from extra-/intracranial tandem lesions are often treated with stent-assisted balloon angioplasty.

Which one is better for refractory/relapsed acute B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia: Single-target (CD19) or dual-target (tandem or sequential CD19/CD22) CAR T-cell therapy?

open access: yesBlood Cancer Journal, 2023
CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy has shown great success against B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). Tandem and sequential CD19/CD22 dual-target CAR T-cell therapies have been developed to reduce the possibility of CD19 ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Tandem stenosis of the cervical and thoracic spine: a systematic review

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders
Background Tandem spinal stenosis (TSS) is a condition characterized by the narrowing of the spinal canal in multiple segments of the spine. Predominantly observed in the cervical and lumbar regions, TSS also manifests in the conjunction of the cervical ...
