The Taxol Pharmacophore and the T-Taxol Bridging Principle [PDF]
Different approaches to developing an accurate model of the binding conformation of paclitaxel (Taxol, PTX) on beta-tubulin are discussed. Electron crystallography, molecular modeling, NMR and synthetic studies all point to the T-Taxol conformation as the bioactive form.

An endophytic Basidiomycete, Grammothele lineata, isolated from Corchorus olitorius, produces paclitaxel that shows cytotoxicity. [PDF]
Grammothele lineata, an endophyte isolated in our laboratory from jute (Corchorus olitorius acc. 2015) was found to be a substantial paclitaxel producer.

Taxol is a precious and effective anticancer drug. Cerium and methyl jasmonate (MJ) have been shown to increase the yield of taxol in taxus cells. However, the mechanisms of cerium-mediated and MJ-mediated taxol biosynthesis remain unknown.

Mdivi-1 induces spindle abnormalities and augments taxol cytotoxicity in MDA-MB-231 cells
Taxol is a first-line chemotherapeutic for numerous cancers, including the highly refractory triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). However, it is often associated with toxic side effects and chemoresistance in breast cancer patients, which greatly limits

Baseline survey of root-associated microbes of Taxus chinensis (Pilger) Rehd. [PDF]
Taxol (paclitaxel) a diterpenoid is one of the most effective anticancer drugs identified. Biosynthesis of taxol was considered restricted to the Taxus genera until Stierle et al.
